Ty contract is 7.5mil a year so take that down to 29mil left rookie draft 10 mil...we still have 19 this year.  Still able to pounce on and maneuver if need be.  No need to rush now.  I would save it for our own players.

I trust this FO.   ?

It's quite remarkable how in two short years we've gone from being one of the worst cap-managed organizations in the league to one of the best.  Beane is doing great things; let's hope he has picked the right players and McD continues to learn and improve.

Who are the Colts saving all that money for?

Lawyers and legal fees?

The Bills on Saturday announced that they signed former Patriots offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle to a one-year contract. Waddle played in 31 games the past four seasons for New England, making seven starts. He projects to fill a similar swing tackle role in Buffalo behind 2017 second-round pick Dion Dawkins and Ty Nsekhe, who signed a two-year, $14.5 million deal this week from Washington. Waddle is the fifth free agent offensive lineman the Bills have signed this offseason, joining Nsekhe, center Mitch Morse, guard/center Spencer Long and guard/center Jon Feliciano as GM Brandon Beane attempts to address the team's biggest deficiency last season.

Filling in some financial blanks from three Bills free agent signings this week:

Wide receiver Andre Roberts signed a two-year deal worth $4.6 million with $3 million guaranteed.

Guard Jon Feliciano signed a two-year deal worth $7.25 million with $3.9 million guaranteed.

Cornerback Kevin Johnson signed a one-year deal worth $3 million with $400,000 guaranteed.

Frank Gore's one-year deal includes $500,000 guaranteed.

------------

In case these weren't covered

Is it possible they don’t think they need to spend it? They had a pretty good run last season with Luck back on the roster.

Possible they could roll a large amount over to next year but there is a rolling 4 year average requirement that each team spend to 89% of cap.

Tip of hand on Waddle signing?  Only 1 year.  I can see OBD drafting a RT/OG prospect this year and using them as swing in 2020.

With the exception of Morse and maybe Beasley.......I think they plan to draft what they hope are replacements for most of the UFA's they signed.

These dudes are mostly placeholders.

If they get lucky and a few of these UFA's make it past year 2 that will be either mean they drafted poorly or those UFA's significantly exceeded reasonable expectations.

It is MIND blowing they have that much money and are doing nothing of substance with it.

Ps. The Bills have that much next year after this year. I need to check out more potential free agent linemen for next year.

Waddle probably brings it down to around $30.5M.  Figure the rookies will be another $9.5M and they'll have ~$20M left to play with.

The rookies costing 9.5 million is a little misleading.

The true cost is less.  As the rookies sign contracts they displace another player on the top 51.

As it is now the next player displaced on the top 51 list is Wyatt Teller who has a cap hit of 633k.

The Bills 2nd 4th round pick (#131) has a cap hit of only 646k.

When the dust settles after the rookies all sign it will only cost another 4 million or so in cap space dollars.

Having a lot of space doesn’t mean best managed.
