Coach B always tells the recruits, "during the winter you're inside playing basketball, during the Summer it's awesome here or you can go home." Similar to football: "during football season the weather in Buffalo is awesome. During the winter you can stay or go to Arizona or wherever." Really, playing in Buffalo (or any northern team) allows you to be in fantastic weather almost every day of the year. Great during the season, then go south when the season is over if you want. Victory Formation Posted March 12, 2019 Share Posted March 12, 2019 Well, can you blame them? What's in Buffalo? My favorite city in NY is Ithaca and it's a very small town compared to Buffalo. Watkins Glenn is decent as well but Buffalo is crummy. I'm not denying it's a great sports town though and the cost of living ain't too shabby. You can definitely make a career here if you think you're a good fit for our team, we're definitely a blue collar lunch pail kind of town, we don't want the me me me prima donna types like Antonio Brown anyways, that's not who we are as a city. But you can overcome that impediment by building a brand that teams want to be a part of. That comes with winning. I was disappointed they didn't land AB, but very happy with the acquisitions they've made thus far. There were some that didn't expect the Bills to be a major player in free agency because the "process" was a 5 year plan etc. Make no mistake; this regime wants to win NOW and understands they don't have forever.
