Why doesn't that work for you?

Its not your money and the Bills have LOADS of cap that they need to spend on something.

What I mean is that I would not want to give up anything good for a rental. I think we need to grow a core, I don't think we should be a rental type of team. A sixth or seventh? That's fine. I'd give up more for a more long term asset.

The last WR trade with the Sixers did not really work out well for us. But Agholor does not have a significant injury history like Matthews did at the time of the trade.

So may be alright to trade a lower round draft pick for him, I guess.

Not advocating for algholor but one has nothing to do with the other

while we are at it though I’ll take Ben Simmons at TE

Ha! Guess I deserved that. I shd have clarified that I am not as sold on Agholor as a WR as some others are. But at least he is healthy and durable enough to be worth a later round pick (which is why I posted the Matthews comparison).

BTW, Ben Simmons will make a better QB than TE:) And,  he may prefer a trade to the Rams or Chargers (since he can play with Lebron in the NFL offseason).

At the risk of sounding like John Madden, I don't think he is the "football player" Woods is. From all accounts he is a hard worker. It does seem that he is ripe for a breakout if he goes to a team that will make him more of a focal point in the offense. I could see him failing miserably under the pressure of being the "guy," just like he did as a first round draft pick. He played much better after they got Jeffrey and other guys around him. He isn't the competitor that Robert Woods is. There are a million stories about how coaches had to light a fire under him and push him, how the Golden Tate trade made him worker harder. Woods is working hard no matter what. He doesn't need a fire lit.

I think that is the biggest difference.

Woody is the one guy I wanted to keep. Love to see him back here someday. Such a tough player. Poor mans Hines Ward.

I like Aghalor but at $9M and 1 year the highest I would go would be a  5th...

Another team will offer a higher pick  for him because they will get it back as a comp pick if he leaves after next season..

Bills will still be acquiring more free agents then they lose next season so still no comp picks heading their way..
