This can’t be right. I read here that Josh wasn’t allowed to audible..?

Yeah, I heard Josh Allen is a one trick pony from a small school who can throw the ball a mile but can’t hit the broad side of a barn. Yes he can run...big deal. I can too. I heard somewhere we picked the wrong Josh. Daboll must be smoking some Grade A weed.

Coach needs to stop by here and brush up on what he’s missing.

Giterdone, Coach!

Yup because TSW posters are more qualified than Daboll to evaluate QBs?

Sure He was able to. He audibled to a QB scramble often. LOL

No he didn't. Scrambles are called pass plays that turn into QB runs after the ball is snapped. Audibles happen presnap.

Define audible, it says he was able to make pre-snap adjustments.  Honestly, I cant imagine any NFL QB in the regular season not being able to audible from at least one of two options (run/pass) on any play unless they are thrown in an emergency situation.

In a part of the Athletic article not quoted above, Daboll distinctly references  "his ability to change plays at the line of scrimmage" eg audible.

He pretty much also acknowledges that Allen has a ways to go in adjusting protections for what the D is bringing: " Josh’s understanding, his study habits, the way he goes about his business for a young player, his vision on the defense is good. Still, we need to get it better. Whether it was moving the line one direction or bringing it back or adding another guy to it, he’s had a pretty good understanding of that from the get-go. "

Daboll also pretty much threw the OL (coach?) under the bus as far as the run game goes:
" The running game starts with getting a hat for a hat at the line of scrimmage and getting the runner to the second level. Regardless of the scheme, whether it’s inside zone, outside zone, gap schemes, perimeter plays, jet sweeps, the basic foundation of the running game starts with getting a hat for a hat at the line of scrimmage. "

Pretty strong implication that they weren't getting a "hat for a hat" on the LOS much of the time.  Also brings up "but who's our linemen?" implying they didn't have the hosses to do what they wanted.

So we all agree then that there are no excuses for Josh Allen next year?

We're not going to use the "he's young" excuse next year right?

Allen has continuity with the OC, and the OC is saying he is everything they thought he'd be.

So we can expect real results now right?

By the end of the day today, I’m going to make you smile.

Excellent observations, i bolded what I think is the most important question, "brings up "but who's our lineman".  Miller has actually regressed, the communication in the interior and on the right side of the line were horrible last year, Miller in particular was constantly blocking no one, often not even chipping when he could.  Either Miller just inst smart enough or it was our former OL coach's fault.
