At least some mock drafters have him going in the top 8, which would be great for the Bills. He's shorter than Baker Mayfield, but only be a couple inches. Mayfield seems to manage just fine, and I don't know that it would be any harder for Murray. And that’s assuming no erosion in his baseball skills in the interim. While I think he made the wrong decision in the long term, I can’t blame him for taking the guaranteed $25m or so (depending where in the first round he goes) and putting that to work immediately. Not that $5m for playing baseball is anything to sneeze at, but it’s a much longer slog to make the bigger money in MLB compared to the NFL. Even Brees and Russell Wilson are at least in the 5'11" range. But enough of that . Shouldn't the Bills consider drafting him? But man, it’s hard to see a guy like this holding up when guys like Big Ben, Newton, and Allen get hurt. Yup. It’s such a separate skill than most other athletic ones. Honestly, this is probably no lose for Murray. If he flames out in football, a baseball team will sign him for the PR alone. He could retire from the NFL and switch over to Baseball at any point unless there is some language added to his contract but not sure how that would work. Obviously would have to pay back some bonus money but I am glad the Bills are not in the market for a QB this year.
