Zion Williamson is the future talk of the nba but I believe it’ll be Doncic taking home the titles and MVPs. He’s really that good. Uncle Joe Posted February 5, 2019 Share Posted February 5, 2019 He made a lights out shot against the Blazers this year to send a game to OT: The Blazers led by as many as 10 points in the fourth quarter but went cold down the stretch, allowing the Mavericks to climb back in and tie the game with a ridiculous corner three-pointer from rookie Luka Doncic as time expired to force overtime. I was at that game. My wife’s family is from Portland and we went up there for Christmas. Mavs need to end up with a top 5 or they ship their pick to Atlanta for tradin up for Doncic last year. Not much of a chance of getting into the top 5 unless lottery balls fall in their place. I dont think Morant is a good fit for Doncic at all. They need a guy that can play d and hit 3s at pg. Doncic is going to be playing the james harden role going forward. Morant needs the ball and is limited from 3 imo. He plays vs terrible competition which makes his J look better than it is. They need to load up on 3 point shooters that play D. That’s the nba today. Hitting 40% from 3 now that he has an actual playmaker in dallas. He plays d and can switch and play d on 1-5 against many teams. That’s what Doncic needs. Defense and 3s doncics ability to get to the hoop at will is just unbelievable, especially for a 19 year old. And there’s time he’s the only one that can hit a shot in the 4th, like this past Saturday vs Cleveland. He’s way overpaid and at best a 3rd option but his iso game is among the best in the league. He has won rookie of the month twice. I like Luca but comparing that to passing on Jordan is a stretch.
