From where did you get the $7.5M number?  Spotrac, who is pretty current, has the Eagles at $19M over the cap and franchising Foles would add another $5M or so.  They'll need to clear that room before March 13th and if it's truly $24M, that's a tall order.

Your numbers are accurate Doc.  Probably only about 3 million or so more for the Tag but still a lot to move.  Philly also has a lot of guys becoming FAs

they have to consider re-signing or replacing.  That could add to the deficit.

Two or three should be available.  The composition of the draft and their draft position should allow them to replace whatever they have to give up.

Jason Peters is probably a cap dump but that still leaves them a lot to cut.  Like I said above they got a lot of FAs to consider.

Eagles can do it but it is risky.  All this has to happen before the end of business the 13th of March.

Yeah I get it...

The “rules” say that the Eagles can do this so that’s all that matters right?

Don’t worry that they still would have got a third round comp pick for him anyway..his value must be completely maximised to the Organisation.

We did the same thing with Peerless Price I believe so it's not personal.  It's business.

yea the browns trading for tyrod seems bad but it seems he was at least a good mentor.  i was a fan of tyrod and you can certainly do worse than him at qb.

Clearly Tyrod's value was colored by perception of Browns' head coach who was fired.

His value is colored by perception opposite directions by most of posters in thread.

QBs are in a shortage in NFL and he and his agent should be careful not to express thoughts in a way to reduce his value.  Backup QBs who may cause trouble have their value greatly discounted.
