I might tune in once or twice to see how good or bad it is. I also tuned into the XFL once or twice and a couple of other fledgling leagues once or twice but they never won me over.

I won't watch AAF, but I will watch Vince's clown show for at least the 1st week, maybe longer if he brings back Jesse the Body Ventura on color again. :D

Vince's script writers have been moonlighting for the NFL for a number of years now.

I am going to be interested in seeing what they have for WR, OL players. Perhaps some players that didnt stick from the draft last year that the Bills could *****. You can bet our scouts will be paying attention.

The way the league works is players from regional schools are assigned to a team and also players cut from certain nfl teams are allocated to teams. The Bills ex players are playing for the Birmingham Iron. So you could kind of think the Iron are sort of the Bills farm team.

Former Bills on the team are Colton Schmidt, Quan Bray, and Rickey Hatley.

I believe Birmingham is somehow associated with the Bills.  Gets first pick of Bills and all AFC East players.

I'm wondering if enough TBDers will be following the Alliance of American Football this spring that it would merit its own sub-forum? I will certainly be interested in the league as a secondary source for Bills talent. Thoughts? Who decides on creating sub-forums?

Maybe start with a thread for a game before jumping to a forum

I'll watch to see how it goes.  Kind of excited for 2/9.   I do wish they tried a little harder with the logos and jerseys though, yikes.

I don't think a game thread is needed. I mean who knows or cares about who is playing? The main interest, I think, is what players are becoming potential NFL players.

Maybe a a general AAF thread to discuss players?

I'll take a look from time to time to the San Antonio team.

I guess that is how little I cared - did not know they had a team.  If the football is mid  major college quality, then maybe worth a look.

I don’t know, we seem to have a pretty good marriage thing going right now. I’m almost afraid to mess with that!

The problem with these leagues is the level of competition is worse with no difference in the game. People love football but not seeing a worse professional version.

My thought process is the first pro league that tries to take players from the NCAA would be successful. Could you picture the Birmingham Ironhogs of the AAF or whatever competing with Alabama for the top players in HS football.

To make it more awesome for the HS kids entering college, offer them 50,000 dollars a year, a promise to pay for 4 years of college after their done playing unless they make the NFL, and still allow your players to enter the NFL after 3-5 years of service. That’s the best I could ever come up with for a new league.

I will be watching. And not a some scouting exercise.  Going to TIVO the weekly game and watch it.

my brother keeps bugging me to pick my favorite team.  Leaning towards either Memphis or San Antone.

I liked the European League. Go Amsterdam Admirals !!!
