St. Louis didn’t “lose” the Rams so much as they returned them to LA.

They were originally in Cleveland (granted, a looooong time ago.)

So Cleveland has had two franchises bail on them and win Super Bowls elsewhere!

Thats very true. However, L.A. has never been a "football" town, drowning in irrelevance for 75 years...they've had their fair share of defining moments, including major championships, over the years. I'm just saying, I'd be mad if I was a Brown's fan after Ravens won

Doesn't matter.  Rams went back to where they came from.  St Louis has no claim here.

The Rams 'bailed' on L.A. for St. Louie......

Then they "bailed" on St louis and went back home.

Thank you Ralph, Terry and Kim.

For keeping an NFL team in a city that will still pay to watch, no matter how crappy the product?  It's a no brainer to keep the team in Buffalo and it's all about money for themselves.  They're not heroes.

I have a love hate relationship with the NFL.  Whenever the NFL lets a team bail on a community is when I hate the NFL the most.  They want your loyalty and money right up to the point where they think they can make more money somewhere else, and then that loyalty doesn't mean a d*mn thing

The NFL is most definitely a business first.  There will be a team in London soon.  I think the Jags will move to London, to the AFC East and then the Dolphins go to the AFC South.

The Patriots were going to be moved to St Louis before Kraft bought the team.

According to Wikipedia they won one when they were based in Cleveland in 1945 and Los Angeles in 1951...

I think the LA fans endured more than the St Louis fans under this context

There was no SB in the 40's or 50's.

Fortunately stl Rams did win a SB this century so they got that. But they had been so bad for so long before moving.

Technically, 2000 is the last year of the 20th century, so they did not win one. This is the year the Bills should have been playing the Rams in the SB, had it not been for the Music City Miracle.

Yes and what a victory :)

I never cheered so loud for team other than the Bills  :)

After the Music City Debacle I just wanted a Rams win and they win by One Yard!!!

Talk about crushing defeats that one must still burn in Tennessee, because I still feel real good about it :)

Despite all the hurt feelings, I expect the Rams will have more fans in St Louis than they will ever have in LA.  Having a team(s) in LA is an NFL dream, that's really not supported by the locals.  I expect to see many empty seats in the new stadium.

I know plenty of iocal Rams fans. They had their team taken away, and had to watch them win a Super Bowl for St. Louis.

It's the Chargers that no one cares about.

There are a lot of bigger cities than Buffalo where they could make more money.

If it was all about the money the moving vans would have rolled away years ago.

Did they ever win one in LA, their original city?

Yes, and no.  The LA Rams did get to a Super Bowl, though -- they lost to Pittsburgh in the late 70s.

I understand fans in Cleveland still hate Art Modell for moving the team, but he needed a new stadium, and the city refused so he left.  Then three years later all of a sudden the NFL realized they made a terrible mistake, and granted them another team, and they have sucked since that time.  Funny how Cleveland all of a sudden found money along with the state for a new stadium when they saw the backlash

The difference is Kronke is about the money which is why he depending on the year one of the top 3 owners in the NFL after the Allen family in Seattle (btw- three times more wealthy than any other owner).  St. Louis offered money for a stadium and he refused.  That is about as bad as if JBJ and the Rogers family moved our team to Toronto.  I am a diehard Bills fan, but would stop watching if not for the Pegulas.  God bless them.

But overall....let's just say if I were Stan Kroenke, I wouldn't walk down a dark St Louis alley by myself.

Ummmmm........I wouldn't walk  there, even in broad daylight, with a police escort if I were him.

Hate to pull the one-up card, but we still own the prime real estate for post-season SB angst, no?

Gugs, would you rather be watching the Bills from the awe-inspiring confines of the Rogers Centre for 8 games per year? :bag: Count me out on that.

Oh, hell no.  I never said that I'm not happy they stayed in Western NY.

If you want to take that line of thought, Rams ought to return to their roots - Cleveland.

The line of thought holds if people in LA complain about “losing” the Rams to Cleveland when they move back there.

How quickly St Louis forgets how they did this to LA winning a Super Bowl 4 years after Rams left LA to St Louis.  Rams had been long suffering in LA and then quickly the greatest show on turf is born in St. Louis a short time after relocation and they won the SB.

So, they don’t have much to complain about here IMO.  And Goff, McVay, Woods, Kupp, Cooks, their OL, etc all got to the Rams after leaving St. Louis.  So this ain’t “their” team anyway it’s totally different, massively different.

Rams have always been known more for LA than St. Louis anyway.

Yeah, it is funny to think that the LA Rams have more than 50 years of history in Los Angeles, but will be going for their first ever Super Bowl win there, while St. Louis Rams got one in only there 5th or so year.
