Ask your wife for proof, but it's true:

Let's use W=9.9999... (standing for (W)hat the heck is 9.9999...equal to)

so W=9+9/10+9/100+9/1000+9/10000+9/100000...

*10 w/Mr. Souza's 10th grade algebra gets us-

10W=90+9+9/10+9/100+9/1000+9/10000....

then subtract our original equation w/Mrs. Karimoto 2nd grade math

10W=90+9+9/10+9/100+9/1000+9/10000...

-  (W=       9+9/10+9/100+9/1000+9/10000...)

we get the ol' 9W=90

and the proof that W=10...easy peasy

I was told there would be no math......

What makes you think I ever got to 10th grade, anyway? Or 2nd for that matter!

I think a good portion of non profits are bull#### and the money goes to administrative fees and they are created for the purpose of tax breaks.

Some are even worse.  Imagine donating all that money and then the influence with the White House you were promised doesn't happen because someone blew their election!

actually what you get is 9w=90-9/100000 which proves that w does not equal 10.

You conveniently forgot to subtract the 9/100000 when you did your 2nd grade math.

The fractions are all there, the ellipsis is sort of an infinity catchall...every .9--> is accounted for.

...hey, they asked for controversial opinions!

what I am pointing out is that not all the .9s ARE accounted for. You left out the last .9 when you subtracted the value of w from the 10w equation. The 9/100000 was clearly not subtracted. A clearly wrong opinion is not controversial, it's just wrong.

Like I said, it's there...I just didn't feel like typing out the entire fractional infinity. But let's assume you're right: that would mean that 9W=89.999991...which means 10 is actually equal to 8.999991. Now THAT'S what I call controversial!

So now 9w=89.999991 means 10=8.999991? Just stop, math is clearly not your subject. Why don't you just use a calculator to solve 9w=89.999991 instead of making ***** up.

hint: divide 89.999991 by 9.

I think this needs further investigating. Let's keep it going:

9.9999...=10

10/3=3.3333...

or (*3)

30/3=9.999...

omg

There are several ways to prove it, both intuitively and mathematically, but .9999999... is indeed equal to 1.

The Music City Miracle was a legal lateral and it's blatantly obvious IMO.

Since this led to his firing, I'll just add that Wade never should have been fired and would still be the head coach today if he hadn't been.

Flutie would still be our QB, and he would have led us to 19 straight Super Bowl championships, had he started that game.

I told an ex this exact same thing.  She couldn't understand why you wouldn't want to put bumper stickers on a Ferrari. ?

You want a controversial opinion?

I would not spend any money on a border wall to keep illegal immigrants from invading our country.

It’s a lot cheaper to just shoot them all. Start doing that and they’ll stay away.:D
