He was the most dangerous offense of weapon in football for a few years. Of course, not just his running, but his past receiving. He ran routes like a top-notch wide receiver. The Red King Posted January 19, 2019 Share Posted January 19, 2019 Bruce, hands down. Our defense is actually pretty damn good, but the most glaring weakness is a lack of pass rush. Add Bruce (in his prime) to that defense and it could be legendary. Force the QB to get the ball out quick, and into the hands of our secondary, the thought gives me shivers. You have to think about the big picture and not get lost in the current state of the team. I agree with Bruce at top value, as adding a pass rusher opposite Hughes is a great idea. I want to target OL in FA and add a pass rushing OLB in first round. But you can't understate how bad this OL is. Therefore if you want to make the biggest impact to 2019 with a former player, you can make an argument for any one of three or four top OL the Bills have had over the years. His two best season he had 600 and 485 yards. Shannon Sharpe had over 1000 yards receiving three times during roughly the same time. His best season was 1993 where he was a legit ProBowl contender.
