Out Of Divison Rivals

Recommended Posts

Currently, I don't really think there are any out-of-division rivalries, however, I'd love to see a rivalry with Cleveland spark up over the next few years.

Baker vs. Josh

2.5 hour drive - Both teams have passionate fan bases that will make that trip easily

Teams that have been down on their luck for the past decade that could now be on the upswing if everything pans out

Outside of the obvious ones in our division, what other teams would you consider to be rivals?

For me personally:

  • Jacksonville. Marrone, Dareus, Ramsey talking crap about Allen and of course knocking us out of the playoffs. I'm sure the fistfight that happened this year will only strengthen that.
  • Tennessee. Music City Travesty. The whole Bud Adams middle finger deal. Some might say the comeback, but I pin things like that on Houston, even though they're technically a different team.

Not sure I'd consider Dallas a rivalry anymore. Yeah, they beat us in two Super Bowls. But it's not like they "stole it" from us. But neither team has done anything special in years. With all the former players/coaches/FO staff, I can see a friendly rivalry budding with Carolina. There's also a friendly one with Cleveland. The whole small, cold city, loyal, blue collar fanbase, but mostly lousy teams the past few years.

Agree on the Titans.  Add to the fact so many of those games over the years were lost on 4th down plays.  2006 and 2012 for example.

The 2015 game where Tyrod ran all over the place on them really felt good as it was the first Titans win since 2000

I agree with the tennessee rivalry. Ralph wilson getting flipped off showed a deeper meaning for the former owners of the franchises... Also the Jacksonville fight showed our other rivalry
