Why did our receivers look good with Barkley?

Recommended Posts

Everyone says our receivers suck.... and perhaps they do.

But why did they look so much better in the Jets game that Barkley started?

I don't know how this can be explained except to say Barkley is the better quarterback.

Barkley may throw more catchable balls.  Allen throws so hard that we often see the ball go off or through the receivers hands.  At this point, Barkley may be a better QB, but Allen has more upside and will start unless Barkley plays A LOT better next year.

Our receivers looked good because of the other teams quarterback?

It was also just ONE game. We have seen them make plays for Allen as well occasionally

Simple.  The ball came out of Barkley's hand faster.     As the Pats have shown for the past decade, just about any WR looks good when DBs and LBs don't have time to react to the quickly-thrown pass...

Only someone who has never seen Barkley play in the NFL other than week 10 against the NYJ would create this kind of thread.

Barkley still only threw for 232 yards lol...

Maybe... just MAYBE.... the actual running game being successful was a factor?

I’d have to see the coverage, but that may have something to do with it ? Id also guess I’d have to see Barkley vs say, a Belichick defense to know for sure. Anyway, Barkley is signed up for two more years so it’s on Josh Allen to show he belongs on the field. If that doesn’t happen, you will probably see Barkley at some point down the road.

He would've thrown for a lot more than 232 but they went conservative in the 2nd half.

He only passed for 200 yards... how is that good? He had a run game when has Allen had one? Other then himself...

What if Allen's only game was Minnesota?

Did you even watch the game?

They went conservative in the 2nd half since they were up so big.

Were they?  Or was it just a mirage?  Barkley was 15/25 for 232 yards.  Last week Allen was 13/26 for 204 yards.  Is that really all that different?  The players were a bit different at the time as well.  Jets were flat and looked like they didn't give two craps.  There was no tape on Barkley.  Also looked like a different game plan from the Bills to me. A lot of little things can make somewhat of a difference.

No it wasn't a mirage. Our receivers looked MUCH better in that Jets game.

It was Foster's break out game, and Zay Jones looked like a different guy.

No they didn’t.  Watch games.  Stop stat sheet checking.  Foster has had very good games with allen.

Zay is not a starting WR period.  He has a moment here and there then sucks rest of time.

Allen throw's a hard ball and these receivers haven't adjusted yet.  Maybe more repetitions together will help, maybe it won't.

Foster has had just as good of games with Allen.  Jones played his best game against the Jets and had one almost as good with Allen against Detroit last week.  Its all perspective.  The Jets blew chunks that game.  Barkley had a great game, but yardage wise and completion wise its not much better than a few of Allens games.

Because Barkley actually got the ball to the right place at the right time. The ball never comes out on time with Allen. It’s all backyard football

Is the OP your other name? People already disproved your garbage.
