Joe Flacco benched in Baltimore...Lamar Jackson era has begun

Recommended Posts

Flacco ready to return but will not start...Jackson to remain started with Flacco backing him up.

Can't say I'm surprised, Flacco has been very average in my opinion outside the playoffs most years.

Was never a Joe Flacco fan. Baltimore drafted a QB high for a reason

Wow, there is a serious "changing of the guard" going on in the NFL right now.  Very soon Eli, Brady, Brees, Rivers Stafford and Big Ben will be gone as well.

Given the way Jackson runs around, the New Flacco Era might start at any moment.

I don't think you can bench a SuperBowl winning QB and then go back to him. He may play a game this season if LJ gets injured, but it's over for Joe in Baltimore.

That loss to KC probably sealed Harbaugh's fate. Blown opportunity.

He’ll only play if and when he needs to, but as we learned, somethings you gotta go with what you got!

You have to give Flacco credit for betting on himself in the SB year, then making the big bucks.  Since then? Well.....but he’s RICH

..Ozzie is stepping down at the end of 2018.....so Bisciotti will hire a new GM and leave Harbaugh's fate in HIS hands....

We are still looking for a suitable backup for John Skelton.

Wow, with the Flacco benching out of the top 10 highest paid QBs in the league (average per year) there are only 2 as of now making the playoffs,

Cousins and Brees.

Maybe Washington if Alex Smith’s injury is career threatening

That would leave Washington spending roughly $40-50 million per year on bad QB play. I can’t see it. Same reason Jacksonville might be a long shot. Those two teams are destined for rookies IMO.
