I always thought the $100K in booze from Nancy's Congressional "business" trips was hyperbole. Guess not.

I remember Pelosi's tantrum in 2007 abour requiring military VIP flights to and from CA because she was Speaker.

I thought Trump's letter was in part being ironic, as it's her demands 12 years ago that put her at the mercy of the overgrown man-child.  It hadn't occurred to me until now that it might be an attempt to curb her greater abuses of the privilege.

Here's a little more on that:

Personally I think Trump blew it on this one.  It would have been better if he let her go.  And every day tweet "I'm here ready to negotiate.   Where's Waldo Pelosi?"

He still has the opportunity to call her out now that she's in Washington for the next week if she fails to engage him on the matter.

Book? We don't need no stinkin book. The fact (proven here many times) that you laugh at U.S. military deaths and revel in the possibility of bad things for America is firmly entrenched in PPP lore.

Your misinformation is firmly entrenched, no doubt. You are a stinking, ignorant liar

The article above -- which I'm sure most won't click on before calling me an idiot -- uses only conservative sources to point out why the wall is such a bad idea. The pieces cited in the above article are listed below if you want to skip directly to them. They all point to the same fact, though:

"The ugly genius of Trump is his ability to manipulate deep, primal emotions—namely fear and hate. Along with Fox News, he has convinced his base that immigrants put them in 'extreme danger' and only a wall will make them 'safe.'

Unfortunately, their need to feel safe is much stronger than their will to grapple with a complex, multifaceted problem—a problem that will require serious engagement with complex policies to get at the root of it.

And so, here we are, paralyzed by shutdowns at every turn."

As much as I disagree with you normally, yes, it would have been smarter for him to try to show that he was here to make a deal. Instead, Pelosi looks like the diplomat hamstrung by an idiot boss.

Of course, now he would be copying Ocasia-Cortez, who had McConnell hiding in the Senate building.

Of course, that's asking Lil' Donny to not be a spiteful child. I promise you, not being in the limelight he wants bothers Trump a hell of a lot more than a delayed policy visit bothers Pelosi.

I've never read a book in my life

Anyway, Trump is now trying to get Democrats killed. He is a little wannabe dictator who can't pee straight.

“After President Trump revoked the use of military aircraft to travel to Afghanistan, the delegation was prepared to fly commercially to proceed with this vital trip to meet with our commanders and troops on the front lines,” Hammill said.

Overnight, he added, a new State Department threat assessment indicated “that the President announcing this sensitive travel had significantly increased the danger to the delegation and to the troops, security, and other officials supporting the trip. . . . This morning, we learned that the Administration had leaked the commercial travel plans as well.”

So, now that we've established that neither of you are interested in putting an end to modern human slavery and child sex trafficking; what do each of you feel is the acceptable amount of slavery and pedophilia we should have in America?

Aww, that's adorable. *Pats head*

I mean, "Black people shouldn't be property"...that's nothing. "We will put a man on the moon"...a totally sensible and everyday goal.

"Maybe I shouldn't give a crap when a professional sports player makes a silent, non-violent protest?" = MOST RADICAL POSITION IN AMERICAN HISTORY!!!!!!!!!

If this is representative of the Republican representative's education, no wonder they can't end a shutdown. I am amazed this one hasn't strangled himself attempting to lace his shoes.

The shoelace is often referred to as the quotation mark of outerwear.  Often misunderstood, frequently used incorrectly.
