NFL OT rules are an effing, effing joke

Football isn't baseball.

Why are hockey teams allowed an equal number of shootouts? After all, the goalie could score, right? Isn't that the logic you're applying to football?

You're right. Football overtime is inherently unfair. Unlike other sports.

Stop the other team from scoring a TD and you get to go on offense.  The rules are fine as is.

Teams are forced to punt and/or kick FGs all game long. The same thing can and does happen in OT.  Too much crying and whining by fans!

Play defense and they get another at bat.  The other team can even score points and you still get another chance. Too much crying in fandom.

whiners will cry and wail and whine and pee their pants moaning and demanding a recount or another crack at the ball or make it best-of-nine instead of best-of-seven

***** all of them

Just admit it's uneven. Because it is. The only sport where a coin flip can decide a game. Ridiculous.

To be clear, I'm not laughing at your point, I agree with it. I'm laughing at the futility of the situation you're in in this thread.

Except when the defense forces a FG or punt as it often occurs. Waaaahhhh!

Except when the team that wins the flip scores, then  it's game over. Every other sport gives each team equal odds of winning overtime, except pro football.

And when pro football decided to make it a little more fair with the FG rule, they even screwed that up.

Oh well, in those instances they were good enough to stop the other team and they deserve to lose. On to the next week.  Play on!

So why let baseball teams get their ups when the first team up gets 3 runs? They couldn't stop em so they lost, right? Why not give a hockey shootout win to the first team that scores?
