On a side note, how the hell does one bankrupt a casino?  I didn't think it was possible.

It doesn't matter what bankrupted you if you can get others to absorb your losses. It's why the banks in America dried up for Trump. I wonder where he went for cash after that. We will find out, though, and his sons have already dropped the breadcrumbs on the trail.

Stealing from others doesn't bother his sycophants because it's not their money.

Incorrect. Campaign finance violations are not criminal in statute.

Have you been to Atlantic City in the past decade? Neither has anyone else.

I was there a couple months ago. Just because Trump went bankrupt there doesn't  mean they all are.

The game is tougher because there are more casinos and because of lotteries, but the Not hate was crowded. No idea about their financials or chances of surviving.

Hell, NYC OTB went under because of corruption.

I propose that this should be the rule whenever a thread is thrown off topic.

C'mon Thomas,

Sure they're obviously plastic, but I am willing to bet there is a lot of "expertise" there to be appreciated.

She's not hot.  She's got huge "tracts of land"...but so does Roseanne Barr.

All? No. But five major casinos did go under between 2014 and 2016. Three of them weren't owned by Trump, including the Revel, which cost $2.7 billion to build and barely lasted two years. (GORGEOUS property, BTW).

My last girlfriend (before I met my wife) lived in Little Egg Harbor Township, and I was in the area every few weeks. AC was a shell of what I remembered in the '90s. It's not just the lottery -- Five new casinos opened in Pennsylvania in the past decade and now sports betting can be done online, from home. It's not a safe city, most hotels are old and falling apart, and everything is still overpriced. Outside of a few summer months (and I'm being generous here), it's just not an attractive destination anymore.

I've read that new casinos have since opened in an effort to revitalize the city, and I wish them luck. I don't like their chances.
