We all know what that means, party at Gugny's with special guest @Jimmy Spagnola!

Lil Gug and I have to get the Christmas tree Sunday morning and get the living room situated to make room for it.  I'm hoping to be in relax/drinking mode by 1pm.

Spags is always welcome in the Gug household!

Is it a real tree?

Our tree will be up on 12/9 and roadside on 1/5.

that was the normal range when we used to go out for a tree.

The local farm started getting slim pickings so we finally went fake tree

Tree hugger!

I can hug a fake tree as well as a real tree.

Less mess and fire risk

I remember getting / cutting down a 6 foot tree for $20 in Webster.

Now they are pushing $60 where I live

Nothing beats the smell of a real tree when it's first brought in, but it seems like the branches start sagging 2 days in and then the cat (don't start giving me grief on that) wants to chew the branches and drink the nasty tree water with predictable results...but I digress. Definitely getting way too pricey either way. But tradition must be upheld!

35 years of hauling trees from the 100 acre woods was enough for me.

This will be my 3rd season with the fake tree and it's already evened out cash wise.

and yeah, love that fresh tree scent.

Luckily you can train your dog to stay away from the trees.  (after a season but not before they ingested the Silver Tinsel Icicles)

Try pulling that one out as it dangles as it walks away!!!
