Marcell Dareus Returns this Week - Inactive with a Back Injury

Recommended Posts

It’s ironic he’s being used in the exact role Bills fans criticized the coaching staff for using him in when he was here.

Anyone know what he weighed when he was here and what the number is now?  Happy to see his big as* and big paycheck go.

I always liked Marcel. Hope he does well but not against us.

Trading Dareus for a 5th for the biggest mistake this regime has made. For his dead cap & Stars contract, we should have just kept the more talent Dareus

Unfortunately, you have to care and give 100% to be a disruptive penetrating DT. The tub of goo struggles with that part. One of the most disappointing talents in Bills history.

A role no one should get paid nearly 16 million dollars a year to play.   Money like that should be reserved for penetrating defensive tackles and defensive ends.

Jags fans are upset that he seems to be low effort. It's almost like that's why we traded him...

Then you would be massively overpaying for him.

He's getting $100 million for doing Star's job....who is getting half.

Cancer surgery is expensive but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pay for it.

I’d argue it’s the easiest decision they ever made. Because he made it so easy.

Dareus is lazy... Not committed to excellence and developing his awesome talent... He had the benefit of an example and potential mentor in Bruce Smith, but he failed to mature... Bills made the right call... The Bills are building a roster of committed professionals...

dareus was one of my favorite players.  he turned out to be a turd with a captain's hat.  why must life be so cruel?

JAX is in big cap trouble next year and Dareus is the man that they will trade.

I'm calling it now.

It's now up to the Jags to figure out if he's worth that much going forward.  He was effectively getting $99M for having one monster season.  Just not worth the money here.  Not the biggest bust in Bills history but he's on the short list.

With their level of play right now, I'd rather have Star at his contract than Dareus level of play and current contract.

If you give me 2014 Dareus....then yes, I would much rather have that at.  But the reality is your paying for 2014 Dareus and not getting that level of play.

I can’t believe he didn’t change!

Did he ever settle those two sexual assault lawsuits?

Soooo they got rid of his ridiculous contract, his ridiculous attitude, his sexual assault cases, and acquired their new starting LG on a rookie deal. How the hell is that a mistake?

I know I'm in the minority, here, but I believe that Dareus earned every penny he made whilst in Buffalo.
