Sorry to hear that. I still remember the Theismann injury like it was yesterday.

Me too. I was in 5th grade I think. I remember that’s all anyone talked about at school the next day.

I saw the play but didn't notice the injury on first look. They went to re play and the announcers were cringing so I looked away lol

LAMP warning ... my friend was a nurse on duty and was part of the team that took Theismann's xrays ... and her future husband played with Jim Kelly at East Brady HS.

Definitely ironic, but what significance does 33 years have? If both qbs were 33 then maybe it'd freak me out a little

Its the fact that both injuries occurred on Nov 18th. While they were playing QB for the same team. 33rd isn’t significant really.

Alex, has become one of my favorite successful NFL survivors since he was drafted by the niners.

And had a bit of a rough start.

Best of luck to him.

That, Theisman, was exactly what I thought of when I saw it happen. Reminded me of that and Paul George in the Olympics. It was a nasty break.

Broken tib and fib, going in for emergency surgery tonight.

Not quite as bad as Theismann's...but still similar.  Same bones.

Meh. Was nasty. Wasn’t as nasty as Theisman, McGahee, Prothro though.

McCoy didn't look too bad and the division isn't that strong. They still have a chance to pull this out.

He’s not the worst backup in the league, but he is what he is. At 6-4 it’s going to be tough now with Dallas’s OL getting healthy, addition of Amari cooper and Zeke picking up steam.

I just heard that both injuries took place at the 40 yard line.

EDIT: don't believe everything you hear. According to ESPN play by play Smith was sacked at the 37.

Watching with 40 in the dorm common room, half left the room by the third time they showed it gleefully in slow motion replay
