The Bills went ahead a made a decision at quarterback that had to be made. Buffalo released QB Nathan Peterman on Monday.

Buffalo had four quarterbacks on the roster after injuries forced them to sign Derek Anderson and then Matt Barkley in the span of a month.

On the heels of an inspiring performance by Barkley in the 41-10 win over the Jets on Sunday, head coach Sean McDermott and GM Brandon Beane made the decision to move on from Peterman, their former fifth round draft pick in 2017.

He won the three-man competition for the starting QB job coming out of a preseason where he was remarkably efficient completing more than 80 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and an interception.

Unfortunately he could never carry that level of play into the regular season.

Peterman appeared and eight games in his time with the Bills making four starts. He completed just over 52 percent of his passes with three touchdowns and 12 interceptions with a passer rating of 32.5.
