where you been s? I have never, ever, never said Trump was racist..i said this tweet was racist,  and unlike most of you all, i listened to folks like @Buffalo_Gal and @Deranged Rhino and others who convinced me it was done for political advantage.

and BTW, i have never said or believe any Trump supporter, at least the ones i know and 99.95 on here, are racist

The argument than becomes is that a tactic we are all comfortable with now..all's fair in love and elections ya know

He said they were from other countries. Then in the next sentence he said they should go back to those places. But according to the Trump apologists, his clearly wrong statement in the first sentence has zero relation to the second sentence. Haha haha.

The words are not that hard to read. BG posted them above.

and then in the next sentence he said they should come back. haha haha

the words are not hard to read, they were posted above.

So, do you consider calling someone a "brown shirt" is the equivalent of calling someone racist?

ahh , I got it. Now i need to take most of the tweet literally, but understand when he said the squad he was really only talking about one of them..so don't take that part literally.

The mental gymnastics yall go through to never say a bad word about this dude..

and do please point out which part of "american Principles " they dislike....show me some real ass quotes and clips.. and not talking points .

You can find those quotes and clips for yourself , as “ the crew” are media darlings. There is not shortage, but you must see for yourself if their ideas and statements are concerning and contrary to American principles of government( plus mind boggling to boot ) Even if you lump them all into the tweet, where is the “ racism” ? A place is not race. It can have a socialist culture, which is really the issue here.  As for Trump, you paint with a broad brush. There is plenty to criticize about him , but the lefty siren call of “ racism” at every turn is propaganda. They need better ideas ( the bar is extremely low right now) and a better candidate. Not more phony outrage. Trump had to have been the most easily defeatable candidate for the Dems in decades.

???

I knew that was coming..cause they arent  out there! Do they have some whacky ass ideas like Green New Deal? Yep. Is aboloshing ICE idiotic? Prolly so. Those are policies, not principles. Ya know at one point, one senator just about beat another to death on the Senate floor in 1856 for saying the following

Quote

Senator Butler has chosen a mistress. I mean the harlot, slavery

but alls good:beer:

Now that I understand that you just had our best interests at heart I take back those thoughts I had of you.

my only point was there are phrases out there that mean something , that truly offend when not taken literally. There is nothing wrong , if taken literally, saying Trump supporters should wear brown shirts..but collectively as a people we understand the true nature of that statement.

Same with  y"ou should go back from where you came"

.

That was my only point..now lets hug it out..i love all you guys!!!

The President did not say the Squad should be SENT back to other countries. He said if they don’t like it here maybe they should CHOOSE to go back on their own. The same could be said for a white person from Toronto. There’s nothing racist about it.

Finish what he said in the tweet.  He says then come back and tell us how to fix the issues.

Everyone seems to ignore that part

My main problem with the tweet is he assumed the squad were from other countries and I doubt he says that if they weren't minorities.  If it was really about ideology why would he say go back to YOUR countries?  I doubt he tells Bernie Sanders to go back to his country even though he has the same ideology.

So, there's two ways to read that tweet in my mind.  The first is being a xenophobic trope designed to both have Dems in Congress defend them when they were trying to distance themselves from "The Squad" and to excite the small sliver of his base that are xenophobic (hence the "send her back" chants at his rally).  He knew that three of the four were born here and also knew he could clarify what he said and his fans/sycophants would say he really meant if you don't like living here you can leave.

The more likely explanation is just ignorance on his part not knowing three were born here which is consistent with Trump who says and tweets a lot of stupid crap on subjects he doesn't know much about, but the purpose of the tweet was to highlight the radical base of the Democratic party.  This seems far more likely.
