Who would have imagined Poughkeepsie being ground zero for hateful racist charlatans?

Who would have imagined Moynihan being labelled a racist?

The whole event was just surreal.

Democrats Are One Hundred Percent Wrong about Racism

by Roger L. Simon

Original Article

To say that the Democrats are obsessed with race these days is the equivalent of saying the sky is blue.

I'm a racist. You're a racist. Donald Trump's a racist. Nancy Pelosi was a racist until she attacked Trump for racism. Your neighbor's a racist. Your insurance broker's a racist. Your dentist's a racist as well as your periodontist. All white males are racist. Some white females are racists, especially those married to white males. Everywhere a racist.

Never mind that many of those people have no history of racism. It doesn't matter. Never mind that their families came here in 1923 to flee the Armenian Holocaust or mass starvation in Ukraine, they owe reparations for slavery. It's all about racism—yours.

The Dems' presidential campaigns are based around proving the other man or woman is more of a racist and vice versa, or about showing you're not so racist as people say you are, even if you are or even if you pretended to be a race you weren't. And don't you dare criticize Ilhan Omar or you're a triple-racist even if her ideas are more racist than anyone else's. Got it?

And above all, and never forget this because it is of paramount importance—otherwise we should all check ourselves into those concentration camps on the border and subsist on toilet water—what this country needs most of all is a CONVERSATION ABOUT RACE.

{snip}

But don't believe me. Believe Morgan Freeman. Let's roll back to the Early Paleolithic Age (2005), when the great black actor was on 60 Minutes with Mike Wallace:

MIKE WALLACE, CBS`s "60 MINUTES": Black History Month, you find...

MORGAN FREEMAN, ACTOR: Ridiculous.

WALLACE: Why?

FREEMAN: You`re going to relegate my history to a month?

WALLACE: Come on.

FREEMAN: What do you do with yours? Which month is White History Month? Come on, tell me.

WALLACE: I'm Jewish.

FREEMAN: OK. Which month is Jewish History Month?

WALLACE: There isn't one.

FREEMAN: Why not? Do you want one?

WALLACE: No, no.

FREEMAN: I don`t either. I don`t want a Black History Month. Black history is American history.

WALLACE: How are we going to get rid of racism until...?

FREEMAN: Stop talking about it. I'm going to stop calling you a white man. And I'm going to ask you to stop calling me a black man. I know you as Mike Wallace. You know me as Morgan Freeman. You`re not going to say, "I know this white guy named Mike Wallace." Hear what I'm saying?

Stop talking about it. Interesting idea, isn't it? I doubt Cory Booker would approve. 'The Squad" would doubtless go apoplectic. Nevertheless, it's the only way to end racism—stop talking about it. We already have laws against it, for a long time now, as we should. And they should be strictly enforced. But the rest of the blah-blah has got to go. It only makes people hate each other. It creates racism rather than solves it.

Unfortunately, not long after the sane comments by Mr. Freeman, Barack Obama was elected and what seemed at first to be the end or diminishment of racism went the other way. The scab kept being picked, by Eric Holder and Obama himself. They couldn't let go of it. Soon enough, Morgan Freeman walked back what he said under the sadness of peer pressure.

And now we are where we are—in the land of AOC and Omar—every one of us racists until we die. The revolution eats its own.

Of course Moynihan was a racist.  Who else would write a report titled, "The ***** Family: The Case for National Action?"

PS - I rest my case, with the filter blocking out the title of a Congressional report.

I know this has been asked before but what makes what he said racist?  So when we tell any people of color to “***** off!”, which is what he was essentially saying, it is racist virtue of the fact they are not white?  So based on this anything negative,  anything said being critical of a person of color can be interpreted as racist. I’m sorry but I don’t want to live in a world where I have to think of the color of the skin of the person I’m talking about first.

Again when everything is racist nothing is racist.

Telling the black American who cut you off in traffic to "***** off" is a lot different than saying "go back to your country."

Everything is not racist. Saying anything negative is not racist. It's not really that hard of a line to see, except for maybe really old people. Saying "go back to your own country" to a black American in a workplace will (1) get you fired, or at a minimum least (2) require an apology.

From Louisiana Senator John Kennedy (in 3 parts: 123?

"In America, if you hate our Country, you are free to leave. The simple fact of the matter is, the four Congresswomen think that America is wicked in its origins, they think that America is even more wicked now, that we are all racist and evil. They’re entitled to their opinion, they’re Americans. Now I’m entitled to my opinion, & I just think they’re left wing cranks. They’re the reason there are directions on a shampoo bottle, & we should ignore them. The 'squad' has moved the Democrat Party substantially LEFT, and.....they are destroying the Democrat Party. I’m appalled that so many of our Presidential candidates are falling all over themselves to try to agree with the four horsewomen of the apocalypse. I’m entitled to say that they’re Wack Jobs."

Then, Trump's own words:

The Democrats in Congress are getting nothing done, not on drug pricing, not on immigration, not on infrastructure, not on nothing! Sooo much opportunity, yet all they want to do is go “fishing.” The American people are tired of the never ending Witch Hunt, they want results now!

You do realize the the country of origin does not determine race correct?  So based on your logic if I knew a black dude from Norway who constantly told me how great socialism is there and how sucky our country is and I told him to go back to where he came from that remark is racist.  And also based on that if we worked together I should get fired??  Quite the flawed argument wouldn't you say?

Have you been asleep the past 10 years?  Everything is racist.  That's what "systemic racism" means.

How long until Ocasio-Cortez tells her to go back where she came from?

You know it's coming.  She's just that clueless.

Not taking that bet.  <_<

The twitter trolls were out in full force "defending" AOC in that Tweet. I wish the Republican party hadn't given up on NYS. I doubt this lady can win (Nancy was right when she said a glass of water with a D could win in AOC's district... AOC is pretty close to just that), but to at least help Republican candidates with a bit of seed money; would it really hurt the GOP that much?

He should stick with "Vicious Young Socialist Congresswomen."  That'll play much better with a wider demographic than "go back where you came from," and the Vicious Young Socialist Congresswomen will respond either with empty-headed lunatic vitriol, or embrace the label, either of which fragments the Democrats even more.

I'm kind of amazed by his ability to re-program his "living reality show" on the fly. This rally was originally scheduled to be an answer to Mueller's testimony that was supposed to happen today...

Mueller moves it on Friday, but the rally is still scheduled... so Trump finds a new way to hype the event Saturday morning with his Twitter fingers.

He did quote Joe Kennedy this morning with the 4-horseman analogy many have been using this week.

The shampoo bottle line is great.  I probably would have gone with "warning labels on Pop Tarts," but his is better.

What if that co-worker complained loudly, every few minutes, that the company sucks, the boss is an #######, everyone that they work with is stupid, and their customers are all racists (while the customers are present)?

They'd probably get fired eventually.

That doesn't matter though. The comment was racist. The inference of it was, you don't belong here, so go back where you came from if you don't like it my way, with the way someone looks insinuating that they're "different".

Bernie Sanders is an open socialist. Why does Trump never tell him to go back where he came from? Why did he only target 4 women who are visible minorities?

There was nothing racist about those tweets mentioned. He never mentioned anyone specifically in those four  three tweets. As pointed out yesterday,  people's minds immediately jumped to the conclusion that he meant those four individuals because they DO spout racist, xenophobic, anti-Semitic, anti-American, socialist rhetoric every time they are interviewed.  He didn't "persuade" anyone  that those four are racist, xenophobic, anti-Semitic, anti-Americans - "everyone" immediately "knew" who he was talking about.  Why? Because they are racist, xenophobic, anti-Semitic, socialist-loving, anti-American congresspeople.

As people have been saying for a while, the Democrats do a good job of blaming others for what they are actually doing.

That's his best skill, IMO.

He can take bad news, or no news, and create a narrative that caters to his base. The Dems respond by going off the deep end, and the independent voters who will ultimately decide the election are left having to reconsider voting for the Dems because their policies are too extreme.

For weeks the narrative has been kids in cages and a crisis at the border. That's gone now, and now the Dems are left fighting each other over who is racist and who isn't and the bad news the President faced has been temporarily washed away.
