Thank you Andy Dalton and Tyler Boyd

Really we are not losing because of coaching?  Who built this team?  What Philosophy was it built in? And when has this team EVER looked ready to play? Minny for a half?

Hey luck plays a big part, we also played the Jags tough in a close wildcard game.

This is the problem.

There's a huge contingent of dumb fans that want to run every single coach and GM out of town in year 2.

We made the playoffs in year 1 and that still wasn't enough for these f*ing people. A rebuild takes time.

If you want to build lasting success you can't do the same year-to-year garbage that these fans seem to want for some reason.

Why do you have to rebuild a playoff team?

Our HC doesn't have anything in common with the best coaches around the NFL.

I don't know why anyone thinks he'll be the guy who can develop Allen given his complete lack of success on offense so far.

This whole mess is a cascade from what may be one of the most reckless decision in pro sports- jettisoning a stable veteran QB to start a training camp body/third stringer at best with a completely raw project rookie behind him.  There is ZERO excuse for the Bills not signing a veteran QB who has played multiple years in the NFL to be behind Peterman.

So, Daboll is really the guy who is supposed to help Allen develop, can he do his job considering the tom-*****ery of the situation stated above?  Was that McDermott's call, or Beane?

If we could just minimize turnovers and get opponents into long fields consistently I think were 2-3 games better.  Tyrod Taylor had been doing that.

So the question is, how much of it was McDermott's call?

Sold the farm? More like they expanded the farm first and then parceled off a few acres instead. They had 8 picks in the last draft, including 2 in the first round and currently have 10 picks in next year’s draft. Retaining that many draft selections is not the definition of  selling the farm.

We we can argue that they should have kept the extra acres instead and I get that, but I don’t fault Beane for executing his plan, especially in the short term, to position himself to select the players he had targeted. That’s why he acquired those extra acres in the first place.

Next year's draft doesn't have anything to do with it.  As is fact, they turned 5 day 1 & 2 picks into Allen and Edmunds when Edmunds could have come at the cost of just one of those.  Argue as you may.

Secondly, take a closer look at those "10 picks next year," 7 of them are on day-3.  It's highly unlikely, particularly under McBeane, that they do anything significant to that extent with only one pick in each of the first three rounds.  Not to mention, they'll probably have to used the first round pick on a WR.

Good luck building the team with that.

Like I said, if you want to argue the decisions made with the draft capital specifically acquired to do what they did, fine. But that’s a different argument vs. “giving up the farm” as was suggested.

Doing what they did while still maintaining first round picks last year and this year is not the definition of giving up the farm. You have to mortgage future high picks in the process. The Bills simply didn’t do that.

What does Wawrow know? He is no position to assess what is going on with this team. He clearly needs to consult with some of the posters on this board to truly understand that the Pegulas, Beane, and McDermott have no clue, whatsoever, about what they are doing with this team. They should be fired, forced to personally apologize to every aggrieved fan, and then banished to some remote island where they could never, ever, harm another living soul whose entire happiness depends on the fortunes of a football team.

Yes...sarcasm

Imo no inside information is needed to see what is happening.  The Bill's were in a significant cap problem when McDermott took over.  Yes they were more talented but they were also lacking elite players.  Watkins and Dareus were the best players on the team, but were not elite but only for glimpses and were not leaders.  The defense is heading in the right direction and are a few tweaks from becoming a very good modern defense.  The offense has taken the blunt of the damage.  Mathews and Benjamin both flopped but were young with past production.  I'm curious to see how Buffalo handle this offseason.  The caliber of weapons will come down to the level of play Allen shows the remaining part of the year.

No one knows what draft position the Bills will have yet.

No one knows what the final # of picks will be.

No one knows that the 1st round pick will be a WR.

No one knows what trades will be made before the draft.

No one knows what players the Bills will pick up during FA.

A minimum amount of capital will be needed to be used on the D side.

A lot can be done to build the O this offseason.

They found a lot of quality starters in the past two drafts so there is hope they can find 3 or 4 with the draft picks.  That does not account for the possibility of trading down and maybe landing two players in the first round.   They find a tackle, guard and a wr in the draft and upgrade more spots in FA and the team would look a lot different.

Wawrow's a straight shooter. This is good news.

Agree. In some demented way maybe it's best that the offense is historically bad. It forces their hand to make big changes, which are needed.

If we were middle of the road offensively McD could justify continuing the emphasis on the D.

You do realize that the higher they pick.....the more they can potentially get in rounds 1-3 in a trade down?

That is the whole point.....
