Not targeting? I guess I don’t understand it, but helmet to helmet. I don’t mind playing actual football. It’s a tough game with lots of moving parts is super fast mode.

I thought he was trying to hit with his shoulder though the helmets did touch.

Didn't seem like the most egregious "targeting" move of all time though.

It’s called very inconsistently. Maddening, due to its significant consequences.

They called it on jordan fuller today .... same thing. Led with shoulder, tried to go low to avoid the helmet but other player ducked down

I agree, but it’s as confusing as “what’s a catch”? Used to be.....

Oh yes, it's as clear as mud!

At least the director is doing a good job of finding the attractive women in the crowd.

"LSU survives the first quarter."  Hopefully they can make it a game.

Simple solution: if concerned about player safety, flag any helmet to helmet 15 yards. But do not eject a kid for the game (and sometimes the 1st half of the next game!) unless there is clear intent on the replay. Otherwise it’s just an egregiously bad rule.

It’s probably happened, but I have yet to see it called on the offensive player. Things are moving fast out there!

I grew up LOOKING for helmet to helmet! I remember seeing a lot of woozy looking guys, but never got my bell rung. Or....maybe the damage was done and I was just too stupid to know! That could explain a LOT!

Is anyone going to tell Gary Danielson that the term is “12th man” not “11th man”?

Gary may have been a helmet to helmet victim one too many times.

NOW....miss the kick again!!!
