Bills need to build around their centerpiece.

Josh Allen is the centerpiece of this team like it or not. The Bills need to build around Allen's strengths. Mobility and arm strength are his his best attributes. The Bills need to design plays that best fit his talent and he is comfortable with. They need to draft mobile offensive linemen that can pull and are good at screen blocking. They need receivers who can be deep threats whom Allen can get the ball to. They need sure handed Tight end who can block and a north/South running back who can catch.. A good offensive coordinator does not make a QB fit their offense, you make the offensive fit your QB. The offensive should run sweeps, screens and roll out passes so a defense cannot target one spot on the field. Allen can roll left and fire the ball to the right for big plays.

Well we've had 2 offseasons under this regime and still need an entire offense. We're on pace to possibly fill all of these holes by the time Allen retires.

My only concern is his accuracy.  He’s never been an accurate QB in college or the NFL.  Also the game seemed to be moved pretty fast for him.

Thats not what this regime is about. It is about Run the ball. Play defense.

The centerpiece right now is LeSean McCoy.  He's the only proven playmaker on offense, although Zay Jones showed some promising signs last night.

No, he's not, it's a near guarantee he won't even be here next season so why the heck would we build around him?

I think it's a little bit of both, not one of the other.

You should get guys that fit your long term model, but elite talent transcends scheme.

Ex. it's not about choosing between the next OBJ (explosive YAC and deep routes) or the next Michael Thomas ("box out" possession receiver). You take either one,  or both!

Start with the offensive line and work your way out. Find some WRs who can get open in space and make it easier on the QB.

agree with this.  Allen would have stunk last night.  Not that Anderson was great, but Anderson had fantastic ball placement into traffic for most of the game.  The WR's get zero separation on this team.  An improved OL and WR corp will help whoever is the QB, Allen or whomever.

Look no further than what they’re doing with Mitch Trubisky in Chicago.

that involves brining in an OC who uses modern concepts.  But I agree, that is a good template to work from.

The QB who the OP wants to build around is unproven and may never evolve into a quality NFL QB - we just don't know.  The OL is bad.  The WR corps is bad.  Our star RB is good but reaching the end of his career.

I'm not sure how much I agree with rebuilding specifically around Josh's strengths.  I'll be happy with any kind of successful rebuild.

Yes the Offense is OFFENSIVE to football.

I want to see what this off season brings, what moves are made in Free Agency and what is done in the draft to address the team.

Hopefully there are changes to the coaching staff like OLINE, and other position coaches.

Game is moving pretty fast for all the rookie QBs at this point. Also, all of them are under 60% for completion percentage.

  • Mobile lineman who can can pull, block in space and run screens.
  • a running back who excels in screens, traps plays and sweeps.
  • wide receivers with speed to take advantage of Allen's arm.
  • An old fashion TE who can block and has sure hands.

The 90's Bills were built around Kelly, The Broncos around Elway, The Dolphins around Marino. Allen is just a raw kid with lots of talent, give him a chance. Allen, Petermen and Anderson numbers look pretty much the same. WHY? The talent around them.
