If this bump in the program continues and they ingrain themselves in the WNY Sports fan radar (as well as hoops), they could end up in the AAC.

Their new AD, Mark Alnutt, came from Memphis of the AAC. I spoke to him at the Women's Sweet 16 in Albany early this year. He can't come out and say it but I think the plan is to position UB for the next round of conference realignment. A school like USC, USF or Houston will move up and UB can slide in. Buffalo in the AAC would be a great fit. But it will drive up costs. Travel alone will skyrocket. That's why they need to get locals pumped up for college sports. Get more fannies in seats, and hopefully more donors.

They have some excellent coaches and recruiters in place. FYI men's basketball begins tonight with a scrimmage vs Daemen. (That game, plus most of the season will be on ESPN+. Sorry, no more free streams.) The team is already ranked preseason #35 in the nation. Waiting to see what the women's preseason polls say.  The danger now is losing these coaches to the power schools. But it's been reported that men's basketball head coach Nate Oats really like WNY. He just bought a river front home in Grand Island and his wife Kristal may still be getting follow up treatment at Roswell Park.

If UB can somehow get people more excited and increase their budgets to keep these winning coaches. it could become a terrific, affordable, family friendly local sports option. Why should Syracuse be the only college athletic power in the state?

Also, right now, UB and the Sabres are keeping me from being suicidal over the Bills.

Miami is getting away with some pretty big holds.

It's bullcrap that they'll call holding on Buffalo yet let ones like the one #66 just did to Khalil Hodge on 2nd and 10 go. Miami is about to get a TD now because they let that huge hold go. They should've had 2nd and 20 instead.

Miami is getting hometown calls right now and they're not even the home team.

Because college football isn’t ********* like the NFL

unfortunately good hard clean block

Blindside block is not legal if it is first engaged with the shoulder. It would have been legal if he engaged him with his hands and did not bring the shoulder through. If you want to run through a guy with a shoulder and have it be a legal block, you need to hit him from the front.
