Yes, Peterman gets rid of the ball quickly....just to the other team

Like Anderson yesterday?

just saying.   Some decent throws followed by disaster.

vs. Colts

Yards per rushing attempt: 6.1

Yards per passing attempt: 5.1

As long as Anderson is QB we’re so much better off just running the ball nearly every play.

The reason for those results .....

As long as KB doesn't drop 75% of the passes thrown to him we'd be much better off.

Lets not pretend all of KB's drops were bad passes.

They are trying to do items 1 and 3.   Committing to Peterman is a terrible idea.   Special teams could improve and it wont change anything.  The main problem is the level of ineptness at QB is off the charts bad, worse than 1985 bad.   No amount of running the ball or leaning on the defense or starting an interception machine will change that.

You were doing fine until you said start Peterman. And BTW, the season may not be over, but it's definitely on life support with low battery power

As far as post season....its over.  There is however valuable time and opportunity for Allen to get some experience and hopefully improve.

1) Run the Ball. Yesterday the Bill's run game looked great. Let's keep it up. Must go heavy run. Regardless of score. Just stick with it. Ivory and Murphy looked great yesterday.

Carries 22

Yards 135

Average 6.1

2) Make a commitment to Peterman and give him only safe outlet throws with a few shots down the field. He gets rid of the ball quickly. Allen comes back when 100% healthy unless Peterman gets hot. You can't play a QB who wasn't even at camp. Anderson is here to teach. Not to play. And enough with losing locker room if Peterman plays. He didn't play yesterday and they were blown out by a 1-5 team.

3) Lean on that Defense. Sure it gets exposed at times but it gets turnovers too.

4) Special Teams must step it up.

If they do these 4 things they will be respectable and you never know if they get hot they might stay hot.

Lastly, trade McCoy and Benjamin if you can. Worst case the Bills don't get hot but they clear out a bunch of cap space.

The season is far from over.

1. Start Peterman

2. Trade Benjamin, McCoy, Clay, Hughes, and Kyle Williams (Williams to the Pats that’s the least we can do.)

3. Fire Danny Crossman

4. Embrace the tank. It’s been long overdue and will be a good thing long term

Does that make our situation better, or worse?

Well, at least you have a fresh take for the first time in recorded history.

Our situation is for sure worse. Colts have a very good to potentially great QB. We have well...we dont know what we have. Not Andrew Luck thats for sure.

No to peterman.  McCoy is hurt, and Benjamin has no value.

Kevin1778,

By starting Peterman, you are snuffing  out a giant sized cigar on the forehead of every hard working defender on the roster. You can’t do it. At the very least, bring in another QB from the scrap heap.

I don’t think winning this season is part of the process. If they did want to win, a very capable QB,  the “CK’ option at  QB is sitting out there..

We have a young coach and a young GM, along with a young QB and a very lousy team. They will make mistakes. We work through it.

You cant bring in another QB. And the Defense yesterday was as bad as any effort by Peterman. They were torched. Peterman should start to ensure Allen isn't rushed back.

It’s not about rushing Allen back. He’s not coming back for a while. It’s about completely losing the locker room and the fan base. The only thing that scares me about Mc, is the religious angle. That disqualifies him from being objective.

You lost me when you said start Nathan Freaking Peterman

i agree with him. they should have played nate yesterday.  now it's obvious that our 12 yr. vet is not a better option.  he doesn't have much more experience than allen and when there is all this talk about ruining a young qb,  there's no better example than nate.

i'm banging the table for carr and cooper before the deadline, but they should just name nate the starter now.  to hell with the locker room, they haven't held up their end.

Trade every vet with any semblance of value for more draft picks.  Cycle through street FAs in hopes of finding some diamonds in the rough.  Lose every single game.  Draft Bosa or Oliver.

The question wasnt how do you destroy a team.

It will help if you just stop thinking.  And accept.........THE REBUILD.

Close your eyes and become a good fan.

Like this post.  Winning is not a part of the process.

Do you get it now?

He is here to teach, not get embarrassed and injured. Peterman is fine. He might even improve a little with Anderson showing him a thing or two. Allen is the franchise QB. Just don't rush him back. Peterman is playing whether people like it or not. Anderson will never survive another game or two, and they better not rush Allen back.

my gut feeling is that since they labeled allen week to week, they know damn well they're gonna have to kick that can down the road to at least 4-6.

so just cut the f.. tardary(sp?) , name nate the starter and settle in and play football.  as far as the locker room vibe goes, it's vibed out and now the speech has to be " if ya don't wanna give 100%, GTFO."

They can't start Peterman over any able bodied QB on the roster at this point.  Certainly not on Monday Night football in front of the world.  If Anderson does get injured during a game (which seems likely), then Peterman gets in and the coach doesn't look like a total fool.   I don't think either DA or Peterman are on the roster next season.

anderson will "pull" something in practice by thursday.

The quoted here represents something so tone-deaf it's amazing. If Mr. Process tries to convince that locker room Peterman can play, he's going to start losing the team. No veteran in his right mind has any confidence in that guy.

he lost them yesterday.....by halftime.     now mcd has to sack up and pull them together just like after last year's slump.

Astounding 5 targets 4 caught.   Its a MIRACLE.   So where has he been hiding?

a few additional steps and I’m onboard:

step 5, do not under any circumstances do step 2

step 6, get another QB in the building and cut NP immediately

step 7 - pursue the new offensive mission statement “be like kc.”  No matter what it means for the rest of this season.

Step 8- take all the flags necessary to rough up Brady. Since winning is unlikely it will at least be good TV.
