Before the trade deadline Buffalo needs to make a couple of moves

I for one would be all for us to trade Benjamin and retain something for him. Replace him with Kevin White, who I think a change of scenery would do him good. While we’re at it cash out Shady. I don’t see any benefit in retaining him. I would hate to see Jerry Hughes go but it wouldn’t surprise me if the Bills moved on from him. The Raiders would be a logical trade partner, maybe in some kind of deal for Amari Cooper. Needless to say that if there is playsr(s) that would upgrade our OL would have to be a top priority but I can’t conjure up who that could be as far as availability goes. I also expect some coaching changes as well but that will happen in the off season but is also a need. I’m tired of seeing these B and C tier bargain basement acquisitions that the McBeane has been loading up on aka Taiwan Jones, Andre Holmes, Cadet formerly etc etc. I don’t know if the Bills can get out from underneath Charles Clay before the year ends but there’s another player that they need to move on from. It’s getting harder and harder to stay optimistic with this franchise but they need to start putting it all on the line from here on out. The McBeane had no problem with cutting a swath  through a lot of our former players, now they need to start replacing them with better quality of players.

taking Clay should be a requirement for any team taking KB and/or McCoy!

Getting Kevin White would be a nice addition.

Yeah, if teams were interested in McCoy, the Bills waited a week too long.

See if you can get anything out of him.

I agree on Clay as well and Benjamin.

You may only get a 5th, 6th, 7th for those three players, but do it.

agree.  Get something for KB, let the younger WR's play.  And get rid of Clay's cap.  Replace him with Croom (who is better, IMO).

Not worth trading clay due to cap. Hughes must stay as he is what makes the D-line a threat. McCoy was a yes for a 4th rounder, but won't clear medical now. KB is worth a 5th to me and I would pull the trigger. Amari Cooper for our 3rd is a deal, but his salary next year is $13,924,000. Not sure if he would be a fit either, but I am assuming he is a major upgrade.

Get whatever you can for Shady, KB and Clay.  We need as many picks as we can in order to have any chance of rebuilding this disaster of an offense....this entire draft and fa better go toward offense.

A team would have to have a need to get adequate compensation. I believe KB is worth nothing except to possibly Green Bay or Dallas.

McCoy to the Eagles would be the deal I’d make as they are thin at the position.

Eirher way 2018 is over & McCoy is probably not in the long term build plans despite still having speed & cutting ability.

Hope you’re right. As far as the draft goes, I can totally see this coach taking a DT in the 1st. Almost confident enough to put money on it. McDermott has no clue (as far as offense goes.)

"Before the trade deadline Buffalo needs to make a couple of moves"

Any player brought in to this mess with a short time left on their contract will do his best to get out ASAP.

Cleveland is no longer the last gasp armpit stop of the NFL.....it's now further up Lake Erie.

Trade Shady, KB, Clay, DiMarco-get whatever you can.  There is a sucker born every minute.     Oliver or Bosa - we might become best D in football.  Hold onto our picks.  Trade down, not up. Stockpile WRs and Oline(4 and 4 each please).  I want 7 new starters on offense minimally.   Some that actually know how to score touchdowns.

Other than dealing Benjamin I don’t see anyone else moving out.

It’s not like they need the cap relief or anything.

Trade shady for what a 5-6th rounder? Why?

Unless he wants out his cap hit has literally zero effect on this team next year.

Same thing with Clay, he’s obviouly not special but what are you getting for him?

And once again his cap hit next year has zero impact on incoming free agents.

Next year is the year maybe you trade some of these guys. We have 10 picks already, so can’t hurt to load the next draft up as well.

If there’s a market and you can get decent compensation for those guys go for it, but don’t just give them away for the sake of it.

They got rid of the guys they don’t want, like it or not you’re talking about trading the veteran core of the team this year. Unless those guys are asking to be moved out I just don’t see any logic in unloading them this year. The youth movement is going to play with those guys around or traded it don’t matter.

Yup. Some people want change for the sake of change. They want scapegoating because it feels good right now.

Moving on from Hughes would make zero sense. He's a guy likely to be able to play at a high level for another two to three years and that's when if plans work out - far from a sure thing but it has to be what the Bills are working towards and expect - the team will need a guy like Hughes.

Benjamin has had two solid games in a row. No need to get rid of him especially if the return is low. If he's not a guy they want in the locker room, fair enough. But otherwise he's starting to play well, and with crappy QB play that's not a small thing.

Moving on from Shady would only make sense if you get back a real return and with the injury that's not likely now.

Savings for Clay against the cap would be insignificant. Haven't bothered looking much at the All-22 after the first game or two but last season Clay was spending a lot of time open and untargeted. Don't know if that's true now but probably. And he's finally cap-friendly and not too old.

It's time people accepted that it's not only the receivers killing the QBs here, that it may in fact be even more so the other way around.

while it would be great to shake things up a bit right now, i think that this is the team going forward for the year. in my opinion, the process dictates that this year you take your medicine and next year you acquire as much talent, through the draft and spending in FA, as you can.

Phila may be getting a bit desperate after losing to Carolina. Smallwood does not appear to be the answer at RB. Let's see what happens this week and perhaps next weekend...

Fair enough. If they can get something for Shady, some real value, I'm for it. As good as he is, he's getting old.

Don't think it's any coincidence that Benjamin's numbers have improved over the past couple of weeks with the trade deadline looming and now supposedly Dallas is keeping an eye on him. The thing with Allen last week makes ya wonder if he even wants to be here.

Who cares?

Having a "great defense" gets you absolutely nowhere.
