Hurricane
Awesome.. I might not have liked how he ran the organization, but what he and his foundation have done throughout the years for both communities is amazing.. He was a great person. 6

4_kidd_4
Think I could hit his foundation up to knock off my student loan balance? I mean, they’d probably be paid off if I used my last 16 years of season ticket/stadium beer money, but still... Also, thank you Ralph, your legacy lives on in WNY! Ridgewaycynic2013
My generation saw him as a cheap football team owner. A generous humanitarian is what he turned out to be. I think he saw the big picture better than many of us.

Chandler#81
It’s impossible for me not to admire and be appreciative of Ralph for bringing the team here in ‘59 and helping keep the AFL solvent enough to force the merger. This said, he mostly pissed me off through the years with hiring unqualified friends along with his frugality and meddling. Nonetheless, Thank You again, Ralph! 51 minutes ago, In Nate We Trust said: Glad he donated this money, but why didn't he invest money in that facility when he was alive. BuffaloBillies
Was very gracious to my dad during a chance meeting. Talked with him for ~2 minutes like a regular fan would. Ralph extended and shook his hand at the end. That was Ralph.

The Bills facility that he left was the worst facility in the NFL. The practice facility was atrocious. First of all, most of his assets weren't liquid; they were tied up in the team. The money that's now being donated came as a result of the sale. Secondly, there are more important things than football.
LeviF
https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/columnist/erik-brady/2018/10/17/ralph-wilson-late-owner-buffalo-bills-foundation/1667404002/ One of the great weaknesses of sportswriters is many of us don’t know much about money and yet we’re not shy about telling people who’ve made a lot of it how we think they should spend it. Getting a 20 million loan to fix up a facility would have been easy as it gets. The facility was a joke. They used to bring in free agents and they laughed at how bad it was. It was worse than Division 3 college facilities. You are kidding right?
