And a lot of dems who voted Biden in open states are actually Trump voters/walkaway types.

That's the thing a lot of confident Dems keep forgetting. They like to talk about an overwhelming majority of the population who hate Trump and will turnout to vote against him. Everyone, including me, is a victim of their own echo chambers to one extent or another. This makes them think everyone hates Trump. They only see a groundswell of support against Trump. They can't see the groundswell of support for him.

They don't realize there are a lot of people like me who abstained after my choice (Cruz) lost the nomination. Then add in the number of Republicans who plugged their nose and voted for Hillary because Trump was an unknown and she was the devil you know. Trump has been a surprisingly good President so the people who voted for him before will do so again. The groups I just named will turnout to vote for Trump,  especially after seeing how far left even the moderates of the Democratic party has gone.

Then there's the third group that Dems will never see coming. The Democrats who are going to vote for Trump. This group goes to work or out with friends and engage in conversations about Trump regularly. They nod along as someone goes on a rant about how awful Trump is and how much worse America is now. They might even join in on the Trump bashing. They don't like his Twitter usage and don't like his personality. They tell everyone they're going to vote against Trump no matter who is against him or how crazy they seem.

The part they won't say out loud is that their lives have not been negatively affected one bit. Their lives might actually be better. They actually like some things he's done. They see how crazy the media and their friends are and are actually more scared of them. They don't want these people to hate them. So they stay silent. When election day comes, they'll step behind the curtain and secretly vote for Trump. If Trump wins, they'll outwardly act shocked and upset but in reality they'll be relieved.

Who'd Biden want as his VP?  Who'd Sanders want?

Biden wouldn't be dumb enough to want O'Rourke would he?

Biden will likely reach out to Abrams again first. HRC will be mentioned (not sure how much legs that has), but Abrams is the one who would make the media swoon the most.

If Abrams runs for VP, who will fill in for her as Not-the-Governor of Georgia while she's fulfilling her duties as Not-the VP?

That job is going to carry tremendous responsibilities with it and only a true glutton for punishment would be willing to fill such a demanding post.

He probably has a higher chance of getting elected running on a "resurrect firefly" Platform than anyone from the dem field does on any of their ***** platforms!

(It would be hilarious if he drops out to run as an independent.)

*He won't, just saying it'd be funny

Hey... If he actually thinks the DNC screwed him (again) it would be the perfect thing to do. Essentially saying "***** the dnc, here's 4 more years of Trump."

It's his last rodeo anyways...

He is dumb enough, but I suspect he knows he needs a black woman by his side. He'd probably choose Abrams, but that would be a bad idea because Abrams is just as unhinged as Joe and would bring the wrong black vote, in my opinion. You don't need people who call other blacks Uncle Toms for having a different opinion.

The DNC would never let him pick Robert Francis because the only thing equal in difficulty in trying to sell a socialist on the ticket is trying to sell a man on the border of full-blown dementia next to a man who promises to forcibly take every gun away from every American who owns one.

It'll be a woman. Maybe even Warren, which would give them the batschittnutbag vote.

I don't think Joe has that much power with the DNC in terms of naming his own VP candidate.  I hate to keep going to the HRC well but I would be willing to bet there are some ultra-quiet discussions going on concerning her and that she has first dibs.  Biden would be about the only one that she would consider running with given his uncertainty in terms of health.  I never bought into a Bloomberg/HRC ticket happening nor Mayor Pete and down the line.

AND, he would have a decent chance to win.  Probably be the first 3rd partier to win a state since George Wallace in 1968.

it is debatable whether or not a Dem can win this election, with all their voters. spin off half them and you are guaranteed to fail.

I don't think he'd have any chance to win as an indy... The Dems are going to have enough trouble beating Trump as is, let alone as a fractured party. The only hope whichever of these two gets nominated has is ideological crossover voting - Split the ideologies and Trump takes it in a slide.

And like clockwork, news media is waking up to Bernie Bros antics.

"What’s happening

Bernie Sanders’s fans on social media have become a campaign issue. The 78-year-old Vermont senator, who has cultivated a young and passionate base of supporters, has emerged as a strong contender for the Democratic nomination. But the behavior of some of those supporters, and Sanders’s response to their actions, have sparked criticism from political observers and rival campaigns."
