Seriously?

I like Gabbard and don't think she was Beto or Ryan bad, but she looked like a deer in headlights on that stage.

She stumbled multiple times and was too hesitant.

She had good answers and I like her, but presentation is a big part of the point in these debates, and she did poorly there.

If she makes it to the next debate, she has a lot to clean up.

One thing's for sure, Swallwell will make all other Democratic candidates look like power candidates tonight. He might even make Beto look competent.

The people disagreed. But the DNC is too dishonest to let you know that.

They don't want Gabbard because she doesn't suck the MiC's D like the rest of them. She won't win. She has zero shot because they don't want her threatening their gravy train.

The ONE person the DNC definitely does not want to win... so, all the talk is about Castro today (or Beto's stumbles) instead.

She was also the only person asked to explain her past... not Warren.

She won because she was the only person up there that wasn't annoying as hell.  And considering the Clown Car Occupants, that could work in her favor for quite some time.

I seriously don't think I've ever seen anything as cringe inducing in a debate as Beto was tonight.

Man, that guy is awful.

Castro sure helped himself, though.

I always felt that way about Cruz in the debates last time around.  Just pandering to that evangelical base ad nauseum.  I remember Jeb, Rubio, and Cruz speaking Spanish and everybody's reaction were just eye rolls because it was such obvious pandering.  Trump just was himself and won.  Bernie was just himself and nearly came back from 50 or so points down to beat Hillary.  Of the five or six front runners, Bernie's unfortunately the only one I see as having the authenticity that Trump has.  The problem is that most of his ideas are so radical to the left that he won't survive the primaries.

If any of the candidates want to off Biden, they need the guts to repeatedly say Trump would never be president if it weren't for Biden's 8-year WH.

Obama's still pretty popular with the majority of voters in America.  Obviously not politically engaged Republicans who've always despised him.  It's more Hillary being just an awful candidate.  Anybody slightly more likable would've increased Democratic voter turnout by 1% in PA, WI, and MI to win the election.

If Gabbard ran as an independent, I'd give serious consideration to voting for her.

But I will never, ever, ever vote "D" again.

That tells me she has independent appeal.  Her foreign policy views have angered both the left and right.  If she gains any traction that may be a problem for her down the road.  She criticized Trump's strikes against Syria and visited Assad in 2015 without basically telling anybody.  She also has praised Trump for meeting with Kim which is heresy to Democrats.  She didn't put torture off the table when asked about interrogating members of ISIS and criticized Obama for not using the term "radical Islam."  One interesting proposal she's come up with is splitting Iraq into separate Sunni, Shiite, and Kurdish areas.

Political Cartoons by Michael Ramirez

These guys remind me of a woman who was always the top insurance producer year after year for an agency I did business with.  Someone asked her how she did so well.  Her response: "If they're Jewish I'm Jewish.  If they're a widow I'm a widow.  If they're gay I'm gay."   I'll never forget that and how much I hated her after hearing that.  I can't stand panderers.

No arguing with this, but it's not about Obama, it's about Biden and Trump and the way to knock off Biden is to tell everyone he's the reason you got Trump.

Look...the candidates are farther left than we've seen in my lifetime. They're literally discussing gun confiscation, infanticide, free college, open borders and the merits of socialism as their platforms, and it's easy to point to Biden, who failed to deal with any of those things when he had the chance.

Tie him to the reason you have Trump. Show photos of him touching little girls. Remind people how much he hated black people, and how he epitomizes the old, rich, white male stereotype.

He's easy to knock off if they truly want to.

They will. As I said from the start, Joe can't win. They all know it.

No one on stage last night has a chance v Trump either. It's all up to Sanders and Harris (and Yang) to not be in the same boat after tonight.

I get where ID is coming from.  Hopefully, Joe has not been preordained as the Democratic nominee.  I still wonder if we will get treated to another version of "I'm tired of hearing about those damn E-mails" which told me Bernie had been officially fitted with puppet strings.

John Delaney revealed last night why "Medicare For All" is never going to happen.

It either triggers a rash of hospital closures nationwide or puts the federal budget on an even more absurd deficit trajectory.  The hospitals that already have a large Medicare patient population are constantly on the brink of closure or end up closing.  For example, Hahnemann Hospital in Philadelphia announced closure yesterday.  The economics do not work.  You don't make money being a Medicare for All hospital presently.

Medicare reimburses medical costs substantially lower than commercial (private) insurance and there is constant pressure to reduce or freeze those reimbursements all the time.

Instead of showing proof of health insurance, Obamacare should have required proof of you seeing a doctor for a checkup every year.  Healthcare sucks in this country because we have too many people seeing a doctor for the first time after the heart attack, after the Diabetes has taken a foot, after the cancer has spread, after the obesity creates the shortness of breath, etc.

We require inspections on cars as a preventative measure in all 50 states. Unsure why a similar approach isn't used for human beings.

Check your facts please;  I can assure you, we do not have state vehicle inspections in Oklahoma.  At one time (at least a decade+ ago), that was the case.  But the corruption in the system caused inspections here to go the way of the do-do.

And since you mention annual inspections, which were required under law for vehicles, I assume you're for mandating the same be done with my body?  No thanks, and I take offense to that notion.
