The Bills' D is Starting to Take Form - Still Number Two in DVOA

Recommended Posts

Imagine how good the D would be if we didn't lead the NFL in % of drives ending in 3 and out.

I think the D is top 3 as is, and would be the top if it had ANY help from this terrible offense.

He had a 94.6 QB rating going into today and completed over 65% of his passes this year.  I wish our QB could "suck" like this.

We used to have a Qb who put up stats like that. But he wasn’t good enough. 😁

No, we don't have the best defense in the NFL.

But Houston definitely has one of the worst starting QBs.

I was away and didn't get to see the game but from what I was hearing it was the Texans' o-line that couldn't block for him.

Deep playoff caliber D with a team that lacks everywhere else.

It matters for our future.  This can be our defense of the next 3-5 years.  Only Kyle and Lorax are major guys up there in age.

If Allen is the guy, and we can build the offense this offseason... That’s essentially what “the process” is.

If we had an offense it would be even better.

Although allowing that 84 yd drive to tie the game was not good.

Yep. He could get you to 7-9,8-8,9-7 but that’s about it.

Again, this is a result of Watson being a trash QB. If anyone bothered to watch the Dallas game, they'd see it.

Love it when the D takes form

But you've gotta penetrate the endzone for it to matter.

Coverage was very good and he was hesitant to throw the ball. Imo

The D was excellent today for sure. That is why McD wasn't real upset sounding during his press conference. He seemed completely content that they had a great defensive performance. It seems he either doesn't know what's going on with the rest of the team or doesn't care as long as the defense does well.

If YPG was very important, they still wouldn't be number one.  Jags and Chicago, at least, are better.

Bottom half in points allowed at this point.

One game skewing that

Yeah, no.  Getting upset in PC's doesn't get you anywhere.

Not saying he has to get mad at PC's, but he actually seems content. Not over joyed, but like he was OK with the way the team played.
