DC Tom
They land that at Buffalo-Niagara International? I always thought the runways weren't long enough.
Marv's Neighbor
No, but 747's are getting very rare to see. I'd like to know how the seats are configured. Wouldn't want to have to clean it after they all leave.

Marv's Neighbor
It won't be that heavy, unusually light fuel load, and not that many passengers/cargo.

zow2
Between preseason action and the Chargers coming in, BUF airport has seen 9 - 747’s this season so far. Pretty cool. They are using Atlas Air this year. The main runway is long enough for the amount of passengers, luggage and fuel that the 747 needs for an NFL charter. If it was a fully loaded and fueled flight to Asia, then too short of a runway.
machine gun kelly
They kind of have to get that size plane, because, it’s not only the players and coaches, but members of the media, and other staffers.

Niagara falls airport is KIAG

(used to base fighters) KBUF (Buffalo Niagara Int’l) has a shorter 8,800 ft runway and at this point better approach lighting and instrument approaches Both are more than long enough for a 747 at specified maximum landing weight land (that’s 7,500) but a fully loaded 747 has actually gone in and out of a 6,500 ft runway 28 minutes ago, Buffalo716 said: For some reason I’m picturing after week 17 or the playoffs last year people At prior waiting for the team but ive been concussed 10 + times do it was probably Buffalo-Niagara Prior Aviation is located at Buffalo-Niagara, which is the airport everyone thinks of as “Buffalo”, in Cheektowaga
