He's here because he's the only WR on the team that can separate from coverage.

It's an awful WR group.

He has astonishingly poor ball skills for someone who has reached this level but until teams stop chasing him he serves a purpose.

His ability to get behind defenders is exceptional.

His wheels are special.   Cuts thru deep coverage like a hot knife.

He's in the right place because this is one of the few teams in the league with a WR corps so bad that they can afford to have a guy that can't track or catch a deep ball running deep routes.

His ability as a WR will almost certainly never reach his talent as a runner but guys with bad ball skills CAN improve.

Deonte Thompson went from just-as-bad at tracking and catching the ball to serviceable in time and he isn't quite as smooth as Foster.

RF's smooth, lack of wasted movement is unusual and deceptive which is worth more in the game action than a tenth of a second in the 40.

Peerless Price had that deceptive style "rising fastball" effect which made him a deep threat despite being a 4.55 40 yard dasher.......but of course he could track and catch the ball.

I wonder how a guy who can’t catch or field a ball is a 5* recruit and is ranked the number 2 WR in the country.

he better start catching those, because he won't last long in this league.

And the “experts” here said he no chance of making the team.

The 5* thing is for HS players. This is the NFL. You don’t get points for getting open. He only made this team because we have the worst WR corps in the league. (Or should I say corpse?)

He is the only player who gets separation. We have to at least see if he starts to make the plays. He did make a diving catch for a first down last week as well as a very nice first down run and catch on the mini shovel.

True but Allen doesn't need receivers that can get 5 yards of separation. He needs receivers that can track the ball and catch. Shockingly Andre Holmes is our #1 WR in that regard.
