Starpower and stats

Ok, most of us know the Bills are currently lacking in star power this year..and you don't expect the players stats to be too good after 1 blowout and 1 near blowout...but I didn't expect things to look this bad after 2 games:

Bills total passing  (both QBs:) 343 yards, 1TD, 4 ints

League leader in yards:  819

20 different QBs over 500 yards

7 QBs over 600 yards

10 QBs with 5 tds or more

Bills leading Rusher: McCoy 61 yards

League leader in yards: 184

23 players with over 100 yards

Bills Reception leader:  5 receptions (2 players)  89 yards

League leader in Receptions: 28. Number of players with over 10 receptions:  45

League leader in receiving yards: 275  Number of players with over 150 receiving yards: 27

Once again, this isn't a huge surprise, but the fact the numbers are SO bad, shows just how bad the Bills have been on Offense.

The league leader in passing yards is a former Bills QB.  Does that count in anyway :p

Yes we definitely needed this chart to realize how poorly we performed in  both games ?

They have been blown out in the only two games they have  played and you are surprised at how bad the stats look compared to the League leaders?

So they didn’t pass for 450 yards in that 47-3 loss?

Well.. that’s a shock..

After watching the replay of the Bill-Chargers game, my conclusion is that the key to scoring points is better quarterback play, and that's pretty much it. Even with a o-line being shaky at times, and the receivers having nobody considered a real star, there were lots of plays left on the field in both the first and second halves. Receivers were open, and Allen had time to throw, especially if he recognizes the blitzes coming and adjusts to that.

This is not meant to be an attack on Allen, who was starting his first NFL game, but if he learns to see the field better, analyze the defense pre-snap, and throw more accurately (a lot of things to improve, admittedly), the Bills will win quite a few games.

Add in the possibility that the defense could play as well as it did in the second half, and this is a decent team.

This happens when you have an OC who hasn't had any success as an OC anywhere paired with A) A guy who has no business playing in the NFL and B) A guy who was over drafted and lacks starting traits.

Well dang.. 5 more years of bottom feeding for us. Glad I read this assessment no point in watching the games our future is doomed until they clean house and draft an actual quarterback someday

There were also plays where no one was open.  The receivers aren't good... and aren't blameless
