Buffalo knew this was going to be a re-building season and they weren't going to pay for a QB who is ready to win now when the rest of the team isn't....that simple. This strategy was in play from day 1; rid the team of lazy, under-motivated poor teammates, Draft the QB, get young core players at key positions, eliminate the ugly Cap situation, and build up from there. Last year's aberration just happened to change fans' expectations. Considering our roster vs. the other ones - one would think we would have to overpay. Once you have an idea of what they are offering, do we want to overbid even beyond that? Denver offers Elway and super bowl pedigree. Minnesotas roster is the most talented. What are we offering? The once in a lifetime chance to be a part of the bills?
