It will expire before Allen needs a new deal if he ends up being legit. You are still left with plenty of money next off-season and you won't have to give up too much in picks. They like talent.........they are just irked about the money they are being paid and take it out on the player instead of the people who paid them. But if you talk about getting ahead of the curve, what if they actually were that team that rediscovered smash mouth football? Get some big guys up front, another Cookie, and jam the ball down people's throats? And when defenses get sucked in Allen does his Kemp imitation and chucks it downfield? i'd go for it.
