My prediction of a 34-6 Bills' loss last week turned out to be overly generous. Unless/until the Bills prove me wrong, I will continue to pick them to lose big. The most important positions in the NFL are offensive line, defensive line, and quarterback, and the Bills are the worst in the league at all three. Three predictions for this week: 1. The Bills' thin secondary will have no answer for Philip Rivers. Again, an absent pass rush and soft coverage will leave the middle of the field wide open for the Chargers to exploit all day. It will look easy. 2. Despite missing Joey Bosa, the Chargers will harass Josh Allen into a minimum of two turnovers. Allen will also throw one or two directly to LA defenders, but the unusual zip on the ball will result in the INTs being dropped. 3. The fans—I will be one of them—will be rowdy for the Bills' home opener, but it won't matter as the game will be out of hand by halftime and all the talk of home-field advantage will fly out the window before you've even finished your first order of Pizza Logs.
