Negative, he was mediocre last pre season.  Less than 50% completion, vs this preseason where he looked good.

He didn’t move the team as well last preseason. But he showed pretty much the same skills. People here THOUGHT he was really accurate when he wasn’t. They fell in love with the anti-Tyrod though. Quick decisions. Getting ball out. And it was stupid.

He still missed passes over the middle. Didn’t show arm strength. Didn’t really handle rush well. Didn’t go downfield.

Then did same same thing this year except was more accurate in the short game.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Your starting QB on Sunday for YOUR BUFFALO BILLS!

may he rest in peace

The Bills have a young Aaron Rodgers and now seemed determined to ruin him. At the end of the year most Bills fans will probably be saying he was never any good anyway.

As long as Allen doesn't poop his pants I am good with whatever he does.  Bills made the only choice they could even though it feels wrong to me.  I think we need to wait until the end of next year to pass any judgement on him.  He is a rookie and a raw one at that behind a pretty bad O line and not much reliever help.

If Daboll is a good OC, I would limit Josh to about 25 attempts: McCoy gets a healthy load of carries, and Ivory in the mix too. Scale the playbook down a little, get Josh into a rhythm

That’s smart. He needs to go deep right away though, maybe twice, so there is a serious threat to do it any place and back the safeties off to get more room for Shady.

Many rookie QB's started from day one and turned out to be great.

Jim Kelly started right away on a horrible Bills team and wasn't great right off the bat but we all know how he turned out.

Im not saying Allen will come close to Kelly, just saying that starting a rookie on day 1 doesn't mean he will be ruined

Agree completely. Plus we need to control the ball so our defense does not wear down. Home opener, get Allen going early and some confidence.

This is bad. I don't want Peterman anymore than the next fan but this team has very little talent on the offensive side of the ball and the kid isn't ready. This is a direct result of Beane and McD believing Peterman was good enough to hold the fort for a year, what does that say about them?

Oh well, let's hope the kid doesn't get killed and he can develop on the fly.

Uhhh Kelly lit it up in the USFL for 2 years before coming to Buffalo.

edited to add: the NFL really does need a farm system.

Bills are going to have to be patient on this one. A rookie qb with great raw talent who needs developement surrounded by marginal talent. Gonna be a real test of Allens mental toughness. Let the unintentional tank begin. 3-13 here we come.

Leave Peterman in and the 0-16 intentional tank would be in. There are no good answers right now.
