Oh, I know. I'm just trying to figure out the qualifier since there clearly is one. Maybe he meant it literally. QBs who got their very first start as a Bill?

Brohm, EJ, Tuel, Tyrod, Peterman

If they want to use the Cassel technicality for Tyrod he lost to NE in week 2.

Yea I have no idea what the qualifier is

Baldy's Breakdown: Chargers vs. Bills (3:19)

NFL Network's Brian Baldinger breaks down what to expect in this Los Angeles Chargers vs. Buffalo Bills Week 2 matchup.

NFL Week 2 game picks: Jags upend Pats; Vikings over Packers

By Elliot Harrison - NFL.com Analyst

1 p.m. ET (CBS) | New Era Field (Orchard Park, N.Y.)

The Bills get off to a fast start in this one with a couple of defensively fueled scores. (I'm seeing a Tre'Davious White pick-six.) Then Philip Rivers and the Chargers get the offense moving. Love what little-known RB Austin Ekeler adds to the unit. Sure, Buffalo won't have to face Joey Bosa -- but the Bills' offense isn't at the point that it can take advantage of something like that. One area Buffalo should definitely attack (or try to attack) is the Bolts' middle. Give the chicken-wired offensive line a chance to hit people and get into the flow of the game. Give LeSean McCoy, who didn't accomplish much in Baltimore, the rock (like 30 times?). Of course, it's kind of hard for a running back to make hay when down by 44 points. Josh Allen gets a chance to improve on that performance in his starting debut. Let's hope this deal goes better than the last time a Buffalo QB got his first career start against the Chargers.

Buffalo Bills have a L.O.F.T. issue: A Lack Of Freaking Talent, says Chris Canty

Former NFL defensive end Chris Canty didn't speak on the Bills' long-term plan, but he noted that the team's roster was lacking talent while appearing on the Golic and Wingo Show on ESPN Radio. According to Canty, the Bills have a L.O.F.T. issue: A lack of freaking talent.

"This Buffalo Bills team is one of the worst teams in football. I mean, they just don't have a lot of talent on that roster. They have a L.O.F.T. issue: A Lack of Freaking Talent...

But yeah, here's the thing. They don't have a supporting cast that's going to help their young quarterback, that's going to make things easier for Josh Allen. I mean that's why they decided they were going to roll Nathan Peterman out there in Week 1. It's not because Nathan Peterman is better than Josh Allen. It's just because they don't want Josh Allen to have to take those lumps and bruises early on in the season, but I think Nathan Peterman was so bad that Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane didn't have any other choice. They had to put Josh Allen out there in Week 2."

10 Insights Entering Week 2 at Buffalo

Below are 10 quick-hitting insights entering the Chargers’ Week 2 matchup against the Buffalo Bills:

1) This Sunday will be a homecoming for General Manager Tom Telesco and Head Coach Anthony Lynn. Telesco, a Buffalo native, started his NFL career as a summer intern for the Bills from 1991-94. Head Coach Anthony Lynn spent two seasons with the Bills as assistant head coach/running backs and offensive coordinator under Rex Ryan (2015-16).

2) Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen will make his first career NFL start against the Chargers. The last time Los Angeles faced a quarterback making his debut was in Week 11 of 2017 against Buffalo’s then-rookie Nathan Peterman. The Chargers forced six turnovers, including five Peterman interceptions, in a 54-24 win.

Expect to see more of Uchenna Nwosu when the Bolts hit the field against the Buffalo Bills.

That’s going to change in Buffalo…and you’re also going to see him more up front than at his usual linebacker spot.

While Nwosu stood out throughout the preseason at his usual linebacker role and as a rush end in passing situations, he’s expected to see a good amount of snaps at a different position – big end.

That’s the spot usually occupied by Joey Bosa, who will miss his second straight game with a bone bruise in his foot. Isaac Rochell will start at the spot once again, but Nwosu should figure into the rotation this go around.

Did he say 5 QBs?

if Edwards counted, it would be

1) Edwards

2) EJ

3) Cardale

4) Peterman

5) Allen

but Allen hasn’t even started yet

Neither Allan or Edwards would count.  He said the last 5 QBs to have their first start for the Bills franchise have lost.

I think it's QB's whose first start was with the Bills. That eliminates all but 5 and if you get technical all 5 remaining lost their first start.

Actually he said first start for the franchise.  You are probably right though.  He worded it very poorly.

This is the narrative that was so frustrating last year.  The Chargers were 3-6 going into that game on a 2 game losing streak.  There only  3 wins were against the 3 of the worst teams in the NFL.  When people say this, it just comes from the over exaggeration of their negative feelings about Tyrod not the reality of our team last year.  Peterman made the Chargers look like the greatest team of all time, but they were not.

So YES I firmly believe we likely beat them had they not played Nate.  Nothing is for sure, but they were certainly very beatable and Tyrod led Bills beat better teams than the Chargers last year.

Right. Those two previous Chargers losses going into the Bills game were on the road against the Patriots and Jacksonville. And three of their earlier losses were by a total of 6 points. And the Chargers finished 9-7, going 6-1 in their last seven games. I think the real Chargers were the team in the second half of the season, not the first (where they lost those nailbiters).

Of course this is a matter of opinion, so neither of us can win this debate, but the easy assumption of so many fans that the Bills would have won if Tyrod started has always seemed like a rhetorical position more than an reasoned argument. Yes, Tyrod would not have thrown five interceptions. But the Bills would have been beaten regardless.

47-3 when Tyrod was pulled against the Saints. 9 for 18 for 56 yards. How do you cover up that level of offensive ineptitude?  The frustrating narrative is that pulling Tyrod and starting Peterman was considered by so many people to be incomprehensible when it was a completely reasonable choice AT THAT TIME and IN THAT CIRCUMSTANCE.

Lmao, you want to cite the teams as an excuse as why they were 3-6 and ignore they only beat TWO teams all year that had a WINNING record, Bills and Cowboys, and they didn’t even get the best Bills team, they faced Nate Pickerman, so really they beat ONE team with a winning record cuz a Peterman led team would have won 1 game at most.  And that other team was Dallas who was also missing Zeke.

They had a super soft schedule second half beating teams like Peterman led Bills, Browns, etc.

But keep elevating them above what they really were so you can keep selling your hatred of TT all you want, but they were VERY beatable

Any "expert" who predicts a pick-six is an idiot.

Well that's already wrong.  Tyrod Taylor beat the Colts in his first ever start for the Bills in 2015.  Ryan Fitzpatrick first start for the Bills was when Trent went down.  He won the game against the Jets in OT.  His first full start was the next game against Carolina, which he also won. How do people post stupid stuff like this without homework. (not you Corner, I am referring to Trey Wingo.)  I mean he only had to go back 1 starter to see it.

we also won Kyle Orton's first start vs the Lions in 2014
