NY Times Publishes Op-Ed From Trump Senior Official

I've always maintained that Trump's outrageous behavior was never going to be his downfall. His downfall was going to occur when he lost the ability to outrage. Let's just be honest here. People voted for a performer. He had a hell of a run, but many are tuning out. Totally lost his cache. The steadily declining poll numbers are quite real this time.

What I find irksome is that the media will almost certainly sugarcoat the narrative. "Decency has won the day and the American people have come to their senses!" Naaah. They got bored

This particular fiasco with the NYT piece feels like one of the final episodes of a dying sit-com.

nah.... it is merely another act in the play. as the last act fades out due to the giant nothing burger that it is becoming, a different bread and circus act is required.

I've already said that several times. There are Billions in IRAs and 401ks that the likes of Lieawatha and Nancy Piglowsee would love to get their hands on in exchange for some nice US Government bonds.

Trillions.

There are trillions of dollars held in 401ks and other retirement accounts.

As of March 31, 2018, 5.3T was held in k plans with another 9.2T held in IRAs.

Lol!!!!

The only thing dieing is the progressive party. America is tired of the crap you liberals are pulling. We are tired of antifa and there bullying ways, tired of the "protesters" interupting congress and senate meetings. We are tired of the cry babies and temper tantrums because hillary lost.

You couldn't be more wrong if you tried. We President Trump supporters love all the new jobs created and coming back to America, we love the tax cuts. We love the fact he tore up the trade agreements and came up with fairer deals for AMERICA!!!

President Trump has done more for the good of our country than obama did in 8 years in office.

So suck on that sour puss!!

Doc, what fantasy world do you live in? They're generally paid more for people in the private sector with similar credentials who don't have the protection of a union and they don't have defined benefit pension plans (e.g., 80% of pay for life after 25 years of service) and fully ported paid-for healthcare coverage either. They can be fired at will in most states, and their bosses can put untold pressure on them to get results.

I wouldn't want to babysit twenty juvenile delinquents every day either. But that's the career path they chose. Summers off? Hell, most people in the private sector are lucky to get four weeks of vacation after working at the same place for twenty years. If they move to a different job - they generally start over at 2 weeks - AFTER they've been at the job for a year. The whining by teachers and Libs has been what's always irked me about them.

Fair enough.  Teaching is the number one attacked profession which is why you hear them "whining."  I'm not going to try and convince you why I think you're wrong because you've already made your mind up.  You're just a little off salary and pension wise.  In NYS it's comparable pay wise with other professions with employees of similar degrees.  Most states.  Not even close.  You'd have to put 40 years in (not 25) to get 80% of your pay and you lose your health insurance when you're 65 and get medicare in NYS.  Teachers get laid off every year even with tenure with declining student population and the rise of charter schools.  You do make a good case for public unions though.

Everyone - no matter where they live - gets Medicare as their PRIMARY insurance when they’re 65 Doc. Even those with “Cadillac” plans. If they’re lucky, they can keep a stunted form of their previous employer’s plan as their supplemental insurance.

If I had a toothpick for every time I heard some ad or politician call teachers heroes I could build a  full scale replica of the Empire State Building.  #1 attacked position?  I think cops have a claim there.

A degree arguably could have a bearing on someone's starting salary but that's all.  After that, supply and demand takes over, period.  It always has.  Acting surprised about  it via union representation doesn't change it.  I'm not saying teaching is easy but there is a large supply of capable people.

Oy vey (amiright @LaDexter ?).

Teachers are 100% the whiniest profession, hands down, runaway train. You know who works after 5pm? MOST PEOPLE. Get the f%$# over yourselves already.

The last time I got a summer off, I was 13 and my dad made me shingle the house in cedar shakes shingles. To them: Do your job and act like a man.

I love teachers. I support teachers. I respect teachers. But STFU already.

Doctors and Dentists are #1.

Doctors are idiots, truly incapable of doing any diagnostic efforts outside of their specific field and those that are GP's are generally inept and send you to a specialist costing you far too much money.

I'd much rather just figure it out myself or go to PT for anything wrong. Then again, my doctor is a veterinarian...

Ok, this might surprise some people: I think the author of the article is a coward.

If you truly think that Trump is so unfit to run the country that you are actively undermining him, that you are working contrary to him to the point that you consider yourself a "Resistance" than what the hell are you doing? If there are so many of you, stand proudly and resign to tell your story. You could try to convince people to invoke the 25th Amendment which would place Pence in charge, and in spite of my feelings on the man, no one can deny that he is a bona fide social conservative.

No, instead you have what you feel is an easily manipulated dupe and you are maximizing your opportunity. You can go do the things that you want to do, knowing that no one will be able to pin it on you and will blame Trump for anything unpopular. Once you leave, you can go make bank at a lobbying firm

Of course, I think there is now ample evidence from multiple sources (Omorosa, Woodward's book, this Op-Ed) that the Trump White House is a dysfunctional mess, and that the man is especially inept, but that is nothing new.

Yes, all the good things happening in this country are in spite of Trump, just ask a whacko, an author who gets his information from unnamed sources 2nd and 3rd hand and someone who refuses to identify himself.

C'mon man, the author knows a guy who knows a guy. What better font of information could there possibly be?!?
