We carried two placekickers for two seasons recently so three QBs isn't an impossible proposition. As for AJ, what's the salary cap if he stays vs if he leaves, especially as it applies to this year? If the difference is small, keep him anyway. The Bills need 3 QB. If another QB can be had for the dead cap hit, well, cut him. He still will have made 2M, or even 4,1M? He can take some comfort in that. I know I could It's pretty small from my understanding. 4.9 guaranteed, dead money just over 2m over this year and next year. Total is 7.9 with 6.5 in playing time incentives. They can keep him to ride the bench this year vs cutting him in my opinion. Only opportunity cost is a roster spot. I know I could No cap savings if AJ leaves unless he is traded. Then, minimal (900k). His salary for this year is fully guaranteed.
