In before Pats fans are crying because the Steelers will get punished less.

Don't think it will help to explain to them the difference between cheating during a meaningless preseason game and cheating during the AFC Chanpionship game...

I think you’re good, there isn’t too many Pats fans here...

this has to be an innocent mistake on the part of the Steelers.  Why would you cheat in a preseason game, especially when you are trying to evaluate who will be the #2 QB.  Its nonsensical, but won't stop Pats**** fans from whining.

The NFL has issued a statement about their look into a football used by the Steelers during Thursday night’s game against the Eagles.

“All footballs were in compliance with NFL rules following the pregame inspection process and all proper procedures were followed. In the third quarter, a football that was found to be defective was removed from play and will be sent back to Wilson for review.”

It’s not even cold outside. What’s the benefit?

Grip on the ball, for those throwing and catching, and just trying to hold onto it/manipulate it.

This explains everything. Pats*** were mistakenly sent defective footballs from Wilson for several years.

One could posit that if you're willing to deflate a football during a meaningless preseason game you'd stop at nothing if you reach the AFC Championship game.
