Slow shotgun snaps!

Recommended Posts

Am I the only one who noticed the 2nd string centers shotgun snaps took an awfully long time to get to the QB?  I couldnt see who it was but I would imagine that threw the QBs timing off as well as gave the D an extra half second to get to the QB.  It certainly needs to be addressed!

Bodine?

He should go back to NASCAR, clearly can't cut it as a center.

Who was the QB when you noticed?

I noticed some very slow snaps, but I thought it was Redmond (3rd string) snapping to Allen

It was. Painfully bad.

So was Bodine (2nd string) bad as well snapping to AJM?

Not that I noticed. I think you nailed it, I saw the same thing. The shotgun snaps floated in the air and Allen had to reach forward and snatch it, it didn’t look right.

Allen is tallish for a QB maybe Redmond had a few low snaps during practice and was over compensating? Trying to make sense of it, no way you make it to the NFL if you're doing that consistently.

I saw one snap to Allen that looked like a basketball free throw, it had that much arc on it. And it took about 3 minutes to get there.

Same here. I noticed it when Allen was in the game. I even commented to my friend about how long it looked like the ball was taking to reach Allen.

That's what I saw, too.

Those suckers looked like they were snapped underwater.

Yeah seriously. That thing sputtered to Allen. Honestly made me laugh a few times.

Some of those snaps were terrible! Definitely can mess with your timing. Would like to see Allen with the ones. Of course that means top tier db’s as well.

Rewatched and the snaps from Redmond were much slower than from Bodine/Groy. There were defenders who were 2 steps into their rush when Allen got the ball haha.
