NFL's first male dancers will hit the sidelines this season

The virtue signaling in this thread is getting bright. Man the sunglasses, you'll go blind.

After reading some of your other input, it makes perfect sense that you just posted this to me.

People who have a strong negative reaction to a story like this are people I probably would not get along with, as I originally posted. Big deal.

By posting to me, you displayed similar feelings in the other direction. So, in essence, we are in complete agreement, so perhaps it's you that should probably lighten up.

Not all fans of a sports franchise should be expected to be alike or potential real-life buddies. That's all I originally posted. That this personally bothered you is just more evidence of that.

We all like the Bills. That is what we have in common, but people who root for the same sports franchise needn't have anything else in common, and that is just fine.

No, you definitely need to lighten up.

When I read comments of people who are getting triggered about the fact that there could be male dancers at a football game, I can only assume that they are secretly worried they'll be aroused by it. Why else would you even care either way?

If the fact that a couple of men dancing in a group of 10-20 woman at the closest, maybe 20 feet away from you is going to bother you so much you can no longer enjoy watching big sweaty men in tight pants tackle each other to the ground, you might have some issues......

And your also assuming only straight men are permitted to enjoy football, and gay men and woman cannot enjoy every part of the game like you.

Seriously? Is there no safe haven of male enjoyment left?

It IS for the male fans.

The NFL is quite progressive, and I for one, find this development ELECTRIFYING!

It's gonna get HOT! Female attendance will be WAY up, too.

Talas and C o c k Robin at the Barrelhead on Seneca.  Great times!

I waited on Billy Sheehan’s mom one night before a Talas reunion show, circa 2000 or so.  She had homemade chocolate chip cookies for him.

Thaaaaat’s adorable.

Never really paid any attention to the Jill’s anyway. I’m there for the game. But to be honest Imo male dancers are just a negative distraction. After the all this “kneeling” crap, which isn’t over yet, this is all the more reason to exercise my right to choose to spend my time and money elsewhere! Preferably something without all this political correctness!!

Preach brother!!!

SOOOOO sick of feminists trying to turn us into women!!

I can't even figure out where this is coming from or what the logical train of thought might be

Are you assuming that feminists somehow persuaded male dancers to try out so that you and others you associate with ("us")  would look at the male dancers, suddenly achieve an epiphany about your sexual identity, and immediately initiate M->F sex change therapy?

That seems .... a little......... far-fetched but...your kink is OK?

How about this:

1) feminists aren't pushing this

2) male dancers who want to be cheerleaders are trying out, and being accepted, because they want to

3) since there are still female cheerleaders, het males still have plenty of T&A to watch

4) gay males and het females now have something to watch too

More enjoyment for everybody, say I, though really I don't much like cheerleaders and just want to watch the football.  They don't bother me.

Why does it bother you?

Quote

They have cheerleaders too.

We better get the Jills back before the Phils.

I don't see either happening in B'lo.

ok...i'm going to put this out there.  anyone who goes to a football game for the "eye candy" is kinda creepy to begin with.  not to mention that the internet is loaded with deviant porn that does the trick.

I saw this yesterday and it's totally ridiculous.  I'm not saying there shouldn't be male dancers and they can't have jobs at sporting events but this is a total SJW move and the only reason they are doing this is to for them to have some illusion of equality.  In no way is this needed or will it improve the product on TV or at the stadium.  There is also no demand for it and I don't see any reason for male dancers other than to appease a group of psychos that otherwise don't care about the game.  It's like the movie industry nowadays which now before you are able to get a script green lighted, you need to check the list of minimum number of minorities/women in key roles whether it pertains to the plot or not.  Star Wars is the perfect example.

People can keep laughing at Vince McMahon, but when the NFL starts throwing 15 yard flags on proper tackles and having male dancers to appease SJW"s who don't care about football, we getting closer to a tipping point where die hard fans just say !@#$ it.  The game isn't as good as it used to be and that is obvious.  If McMahon can give some of that old school feeling back to the game, he will have a market.  If he can survive 5 years, with the way things are going, I can see his league being a threat to NFL dominance.

Why on earth do you think "Social Justice Warriors" have any concerns about this?

Why can't it be male dancers who like football and think being part of the cheerleaders on the sidelines at the game would be fun?

Making a lot of assumptions aren't you.  Personally I don't care if there are guys paid to dance on the sidelines.  What I don't like is how it is seemingly being forced into the framework to appease a irrational people and so those people can have some faux sense of equality.

What I don't "get" is where is the evidence that this is "being forced into the framework to appease an irrational people" and what it has to do with a "faux sense of equality".

Unless you have some other source than the link posted, all that seems way more about you than about the male cheerleaders.  The article linked gives the names of 2 male professional dancers who auditioned successfully for the Rams squad.  Professional male dancers audition for a dance gig, alert the media - I'm sure that resulted from a big national social justice agenda and not just dudes wanting another gig.

Then, according to the article, a male professional dancer auditioned for the Saints after his mommy saw an article about the Rams auditions and encouraged him to try out.  Mommy encouragement is a powerful force, but it's usually about what the kid wants and not "appeasing irrational people" "faux sense of equality" or any of those other good Buzz Terms.

Why do you think this is "seemingly" some grand force and agenda?  Back in Da Day when cheerleaders were more about leading cheers and less about scanty costumes, male cheerleaders were relatively common, so you could just call this "retro"

Edit: here's an interview.  One of the two Rams male cheerleaders said he was watching the Laker girls, thought to himself "why can't I be down there on the sidelines like that?", called a friend and found out when the audition was, and showed up.  No national Feminazi Social Justice agenda, just a dancer wanting a gig
