You couldn't get through the first line without being dishonest. The absurdity of your scapegoating claim aside, you intentionally said immigrants when you know the controversy is specific to illegal immigrants because using the accurate terminology hurts your side.

Charlottesville is a dishonest example because you're trying to draw an equivalence between the rogue actions of one person in a  fringe group condemned by virtually everyone on the right, and an organized group that intentionally incites violence on a regular basis that is often defended and rarely condemned by the mainstream left.

Your claim about demeaning immigrants is also a lie. It is a fact that Mexican drug cartels, whose members are by definition gang members, and many of whom are murderers and rapists, traffic drugs and sex slaves across the unsecured border with great regularity. No one with a functional understanding of the English language and a shred of objectivity can claim that President Trump was declaring all illegals fall into that category, much less all Mexicans or immigrants. As usual, you have to mischaracterize because the truth hurts your position.

You're really proving my point. Every single response you've had has been filled with mischaracterizations, half-truths, and flat out lies.

If you were right you wouldn't have to do that. You could just tell the truth like I do.

Calling them rapist and murderers is scapegoating, pure and simple. Just like Hitler did early on to the Jews, before it got worse.

Newsflash: The vast vast majority of Mexicans have nothing to do with cartels.

Have you come up with a victim of left wing violence yet?

What lies did I tell? You seem to be stumbling with that but just telling lies.

You continue to prove my point. I've addressed your lies and mischaracterizations item by item, so I'm not sure why you keep asking.

Your comment about the majority of Mexicans having nothing to do with cartels is an implicit lie because, although true on its face, it implies that someone said otherwise, which you know is untrue.

Oh no, the President calling a whole group of people rapists and murderers is very much scapegoating them. Imagine if Obama said all red necks were addicts and incestuous? It was pretty evil and that was straight from the top. The leader of the party won by trashing whole groups of people as criminals and dangerous. He also called on the police to abuse suspects arrested of alleged crimes. And his supporters elected him President. That's not about cartels, its about Mexicans in general. He even pointed out the judge in his civil case (how was that not criminal?) about Trump University scam was a Mexican, as if that was bad. How was that not an ethnic smear? He pretty clearly relies on ethnic animosity to rally the troops.

Further, why would a black person vote for a GOP that courts have found time and again to be taking away their voting rights by gerrymandering them out of districts. Having representation in our government is a basic civil right.

RUBEN NAVARRETTE: Latinos are waking up to the duplicity of the Democrats.

As a Never Trumper, I didn’t get it. So, I interviewed some Latinos for Trump and I got an earful. Many of them saw themselves not as Latinos but as Americans, and so they weren’t hung up on Trump’s anti-Latino screeds. They didn’t like or trust Clinton, appreciated Trump’s frankness, wanted a strong leader, and thought he was right about a lot of issues, including trade and immigration.

Yes, immigration. What most non-Latinos don’t grasp is that Latinos are ambivalent about illegal immigration. They have a front-row seat not just to the pain of deportations, but also to how many immigrants commit crimes or abuse social services.

In 2016, an astounding 29 percent of Latinos voted for Trump.

And now, two years into his presidency, polls show that his support among Latinos is somewhere between 33 and 41 percent. That’s insanely good for a president who is so bad on issues that Latinos supposedly care about.

Then you have the Democrats, who take Latino voters for granted and whose entire Latino outreach strategy can be summed up in six words: “Vote for us. We’re not Republican.”

That’s it? I don’t know about you, but I’m still hungry.

I’m noting a lot of strange new respect from Trump from NeverTrumpers lately.
