JoeF Posted June 8, 2018 Share Posted June 8, 2018 (edited) Base salaries for the next three years are $4.1M, $4.1M and $9M....that's starters money and he's pretty limited to MLB. Its not just drafting Edmunds but McD loaded up on hybrid cover LBs with Neal, Julian Stanford, Corey Thompson--etc. If the Saints cut him Bills may take a look but a trade to take on those base salaries..no way. He actually started at SAM for theSaints in their base defense and moved to MIKE in nickel defenses. He would be really good depth and a much better SAM than Lorax. It would allow Lorax to be even more of a part time guy and gives you functional depth if Tremaine struggles. Also, I love me some Milano, but he isn't exactly a proven player. I like his potential, but it's too early to be totally sold. Klein makes a lot of sense and while his contract seemed huge on paper, I don't think there is a ton of guaranteed money there. I don't think Klein is a bad idea if they can get him for a 7th. The Saints want to unload his contract and need to trade him instead of cutting him. His Cap Hit is a little high but if they sign him I think that Lorax may be let go which would make it about a 2.5 million hit.
