Impossible. Castillo and Vlad are inseparable.

Never mind the fact that anyone who didn't have a preconceived view or agenda knows that Vlad clearly was the better guard in last year's system.

With that said, new year, new system and I wouldn't be surprised to see Miller win the job.

I had almost forgotten he existed. I swear he had a really good rookie year before disappearing.

Ducasse is playing LG. Based on the first week of OTAs the starting line is Dawkins, Ducasse, Bodine, Miller, Mills. Ideally I'd like Teller or Groy to win the LG spot before the season is over.

The fact of the matter is that John needs this year to be a good one. He turns 26 during preseason, going into a contract year.

If the run game switches to more of a power-based scheme, his standard of play from his sophomore year will get him a mid-level starter contract.

Why are they so against playing Groy? Dude is clearly one of their top 5 OL. As for Miller he had a really good rookie year in 2015 and he was more than solid in 2016. But that new scheme in 2017 really didn't fit his ability.

Good.  I think him and teller will be our guards when all is said and done.

Groy is interesting because i use I thought he was the shoe in center till they signed bodine.  I think he needs to proves he's better than bodine.

I think the only starter right now is Dawkins.  Everyone else is in competition.

I'm pulling for Teller to beat out Ducasse.  I really, really like Teller.

Get back to the Kromer blocking scheme and Miller will be good at RG.  Groy at C  and hope Teller can get up to speed at LG.

Hope someone can outplay Mills at RT. Until the OL can pass protect sit Allen.

I totally ripped Ducasse going into the season, but then when I watched him closely during the season on all-22, thought he was perfectly fine, and while neither my own acumen nor PFF are perfect judges (particularly the former), it''s the best I have to go by. Most people digging in to him now have provided much less proof (just seems like preconceived notions):

"John Miller fully committed to regain starting role"

.....and no doubt he's giving 110% effort, I'm sure too.

Nothing against Miller, but all this is lip service. That sports writers still run with it as a fresh scoop is so old and monotonous.

I don't get the reluctance to play Groy?

Actually, he turns 25 August 12th.

I believe he will be our starting RG come September.

Sal Caffe Latte said this morning that Groy is like the 6th man on a basketball team because he offered flexibility at both guard positions and center.

I laughed.

An OL isn't a basketball team despite the common number of starters.

I wasn't a big TT fan, but his mobility made a less than ideal group at OL look better than they were.  Whomever plays QB better have eyes in the back of their head.
