And we have one of those vappers sitting near me.

An exploding vape pen hurled fragments into a Florida man’s head, killing him and starting a fire that burned most of his body, an autopsy report said.

The Pinellas-Pasco Medical Examiner’s autopsy report released May 15 confirms the vape pen was responsible for the May 5 death of Tallmadge D’Elia, 38, in St. Petersburg.

Such accidents aren’t unheard of: According to a U.S. Fire Administration report , at least 195 electronic cigarettes exploded or caught fire from 2009 to 2016, and while no deaths were recorded in that time, the explosions caused 133 injuries, 38 of them severe.

I tried vaping once. I had trouble breathing after 10 minutes. I have to ask what exactly are you inhaling when vaping? (I'm fine now.)

Its water vapor iirc with nocotine flavoring

Agreed.  Vaping is dumb and makes people look even more stupid than they already are.

What is wet lung, and can you get that from bong hits?

ARDS:

Don't quote me on it... Holiday Inn Express last night, but it effects people differently depending on their autoimmune response?

In ARDS there is respiratory failure of sudden (acute) onset due to the rapid accumulation of fluid in the lungs (pulmonary edema) following an abrupt increase in the permeability of the normal barrier between the capillaries and the air sacs in the lungs. ARDS is the most serious response to acute lung injury.
